Thank you so much rollin !!! hahaha and i know, alot of people do

Nahhhhh  I plan on keeping this car the original color. So that everything matches, but if I ever wanted to… I would probably do a wrap

Thanks Arta!!

Thank you Mnda ! Its always nice to hear good things  being passionate about it keeps me determined

Goku is always trying to lend a hand, paha. yes, i run it on low for weight savings …jk

My gal hooked me up with this badass coffee mug!

Changed out the original Speedo cable because it was hella squeakyyy in the GSR

The Griffin radiator started leaking around the filler kneck… ofcourse, and when I called their absolutely amazing customer service told me that it would cost around $100 to fix lol. So I took it to a welder that I know… Definitely would never recommend a Griffin; had too many issues with this one. Ill probably swap it out for a Fluidyne or Mishimoto in the future

Finally installed the Cusco front lower tie bar that I bought from Teg Youngin ages ago

Installed some Blackworks Racing (BWR) radiator hoses…which fit like absolute poop. Maybe they sent me the 94+ on accident but I spoke with the BWR owner at Import Alliance and he kept blowing me off haha… giving me the same half-ass response each time and wouldnt take 5 minutes to look at His companies products on a customers car, that was maybe 100 ft away… So no more BWR parts in the forseable future… Thats how I see it , if you dont support your customers/enthusiast… or back your products… check out the crazy bend in the hose. I had to force them on…

I do like the Blue color though, and if you look closely… You can see the weld around the filler kneck to fix that leak !!

I still had these 75A Innovative Mounts from the old 90 RS. Soo I figured why not install them right!? It tooks tons of polishing to get them clean and shiney again. I wish I took pictures of the process but here they are, all shiney and installed  ohh and with new hardware too

Love the PIC top hats

Went to the Import Alliance at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia this year and even made it into the Showcase section
My favorite part was talking with soo many cool people and getting to talk with BigBenSlay for awhile too

There was even a Honda Beat there!

Picked up some Chemical Guys stuff to do one of the most extensive details that I ever have… polish, glaze, sealant, and paste wax

All of the trim taped off

Took the plastic headlight covers off, and geeeez these factory lights are clean

Contemplated putting these minty one piece headlights on, but ultimately decided to keep the 3 piece US headlights on for now because everyone in Japan wants them

There’s a long story to this part lol. I picked up an EM racing c-pillar bar from Evasive Motorsports. As most of us know, a good quality c-pillar bar is hard to come by for our cars, and I like the design of an EM racing. Evasive had it in stock(i thought) and for a decent price, so I ordered it. Received an email stating that the Only one they had left was the Display model and that they could send me that one at a discounted price because it was a little beat up. So they sent me pictures and agreed on the deal… Well a week goes by and I receive it in the mail. The bar is beautiful and well designed/ sturdy. I go to install it… annnddd its too short…
The bar was to short, in length to reach both of the mounting points. So im assuming that this bar is for a different model now. It was probably marked wrong/ wrong box or something… Evasive is an absolutely amazing company when it comes to customer service. Turns out the bar was about 2.5" to short. So they offered to have it sent back to California for free and just refund me all the money…
Then I figured, at this point… what do I have to lose though. All I need to do is find someone to weld 2.5 inches of 6061 aluminum into the middle and I will be Golden… So heres the process of saving the EMracing sticker. Getting some fabrication done on the bar. He turned the alumnium add-on piece, out of bar stock. Only major problem with the fabricator that I found is that he ended up not being so good with aluminum welds…and didnt get it perfectly straight lol… but thats a whole another story in itself. This bar will do in the mean time, until a custom stainless steel piece is finished

and with a little bit of heat…

Here are the end pieces, where the eye bolts attach

Threads left of the bolt that go into the body after install. I show this because the idea behind this bar, is to leave the brackets on and use the quick release. So that passengers can still ride in the back when needed

I’ll get a picture of it installed soon !

Converted the car to OBD1, so I could install and play with the settings in Hondata a little bit. Hoping to pull a few more HP’s out of her

Bought this TD85u distributor from a buddy for a good price. OBD2 but low miles. I thought about re-pinning the connections but the pins are all different sizes. So I went with a Rywire jumper harness

Then I had the bright idea, to spend 8+ hours bringing the distributor to a mirror shine hahaha

Peace  I’ll be back with more updates soon !!!

Are you just now sharing your experience in Atlanta with us? Import Alliance was back in February(hAHa)! Good to see your latest progress. I am honored that you remember our conversation at IA and hope to see you and that beautiful build you have later in the future (though no excuse, you live in the next state up). If anyone here can’t RECOGNIZE about this build, they need to REALIZE what they see about this build, and APOLOGIZE to wam1004 here. Very clean build indeed. Not to mention the car has under 100k miles. The care for this car by 3 owners is impressive. I forgot, what was the total miles you got on your ride?

Thank you!!!
Hahaha yeah man! This was the first time ive updated the thread in about a year. I was so busy with life, the car, and work you know. I had so much fun talking to you at IA dude! You’re awesome and your DA is clean to! Hopefully John will be done with my lip here shortly as well. Can’t wait to see you at HDay and we can hang some more !
The car has about 71K miles on it now and I’ll be changing the oil soon

very good updates with all the quality parts. i love DA and DB, but nothing compare to you sir. good luck on everything sir :up::up::up::up::up::up::up:

Dude, your build is freakin sick. My buddy kept telling me about this red Integra at Hday that was stupid clean. Turns out it was yours lol. Are you gonna be at Hday this year? Some friends and I are going to show up Saturday. I would love to get a close up view of what you have going on with this thing. Keep up the great work.

Hey Drew - Apologies, I somehow I missed your build thread! This is awesome! I’m glad your putting the wing to good use too. It’s funny, I am planning to polish distributor as my next project in the garage. Yours came out great! Your DA is super clean, great work. We’re pretty far apart in distance, but who knows maybe we can meetup one day at some event in between.

All I can say is WoW ! I’m almost speechless. You have the heart and passion to make these aging cars look like they are in their prime, and best yet you do it with pride and I totally commend you for it cause lets face it most of us don’t have the time or money to accomplish so much in such a short time, and you have proven that it can be done, you just need the drive and effort to do it. You have some amazing cars and your builds are top notch, I envy that cause I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years now and I’m now just starting to loose my drive cause I hardly ever see cars like ours done right especially living in a big city like the one I live in. I see our cars look like they have been very badly abused and neglected, for instance I have a buddy who has a aztec green 92 db2 gsr like the one you have and when he first got it (which I found it for him) it was in the same condition as yours was or close to it (one owner I might add) and at first it was very nice but after him popping vtec every light every corner the poor car just started to go slowly and worst part is he never kept up with it, he had beat and raped that poor car to death and it just breaks my hart to see it, I can’t even talk about it any more I feel like I want to kill him (sorry). I feel bad for that car in all honesty, I should have never encourage him to get it, I can keep going on and on about this but my point is you’ve taken the direction that some can’t or just wont do. I won’t ever let my car go like that but I have lost my base with it and after seeing your thread I hope it’s enough motivation for me to find myself behind the wheel again of my da. Well so sorry for long post but I hope maybe we can meet to check out our cars, your cars lol, mine is shit compared to yours. When I go see my mom in the Carolina’s in the next year or so if you’d like to meet up then we can, but whatever happens I’m sure you’ll enjoy those da’s you have and I surely hope you never loose that drive and passion that you have cause that’s what it takes to keep our cars looking the way they once did in their prime.

Thank you so much!!!

Hahaha thank you!!! HDay was great again this year! Minus the heat of course. Most of us had a blast though and I managed to take home 1st again this year. I talked to soo many people those 2 days it was crazy

Thank you jdecks23! It means a lot man. Everyone here is making great progress on their builds but yours has always stood out to me. Its just incredibly clean man. Hope to see it in person someday and that would be amazing

Dude!!! haha you wrote me quite a lot   so much appreciation! Thank you! Please keep the passion alive man! It can be tough to find time for everything sometimes but I still manage somehow, you know. Its not impossible if you really want it… haha no man, nobodies car is shit. We all start somewhere. I have been very lucky with my findings in most cases and just made the money work at the time. In some cases it does pay off to be grateful and kind towards people. The previous owner of the red car, held onto it for about 4 months for me, cause he wanted me to be the next owner. He knew that I was passionate about it and would take care of it. Just never put yourself down man and good things will happen. Please keep me updated and let me know when we could possibly meet up. Ill take you for a ride in the car! Best way to get intouch with me is probably instagram: DA9Drew

HUGE shout out to Honda for partnering with great manufacturers back in the 90’s. My AC compressor is still good!!! I just converted the gsr to r134a and it blows ice cold  updates with pictures coming soon !

UPDATES!!! haha

Well, I guess I will start with the DB2. For a while the gsr had been feeling sluggish and the MPG was way lower than usual. Around 24 MPG, I think. Which tells me something is definitely going on. Ive had the catalytic converter in question for some time, as the possible culprip because that is one of the few things… engine wise that had not been replaced. So I removed that ole thing and hollowed it out of course! The drive is still very quiet but vtec cross over is wayyy more noticeable now. Which I love, and the MPG went up to 30 highway/city. woot woot

Next, I had to fix a small leak on the b-pipe

Difference in 90-91 vs 92-93 b-pipe. Hence the different header lengths

Snagged some goodies for the red cars 2nd oil change

A special one-off stainless steel C-pillar bar. Made by Kurtis Gollie. We had talked about this for a little while. Conversed on ideas and he ulitimately came up with this and I absolutely love the design. Its crazy solid. He plans to make more custom pieces for our DA’s in the future. Check out his Instagram: golliebuilt

Mounted in the car

On our way to HDAY at Zmax Dragway this year. Lol buddies civic sprung a leak from the FPR and we were stuck on the side of the highway till another friend brought a replacement.

Posted up at the show in Group A, and managed to park next to the Brian Crower booth. Met tons of really cool people again this year! Some possible things with BC in the future as well

Ended up having an absolute blast in all and took home 1st Place again this year (for 90-93 Integra’s), along with Top 100 of Show. It’s pretty cool because they give out oil caps unique to each event! Although I really hope they hold the event prior to summer next year. The heat has been insane for that time of year, both years so far. Less people were here this year because of it

The build sheet that I had layed out on the windshield

Added another piece of rare Spoon/Opak racing history to my collection. Cool story on these btw

A local friend shooting some photos and videos for his youtube channel. More on that later

Sometimes I love working on all Integra’s haha  lending a knowledgable hand whenever I can. IG: kyle_keesling

Also, I still love riding bikes  Here’s my 2000 Zrx1000, if I havent posted a pic of it already. Swapping out the rear tire… It was much needed

Definitely needed to get the AC working in the gsr. So after much debate, with myself lol, I decided to go ahead and convert to r134a vs keeping it R12. Mainly due to not knowing the condition of my Compressor. I replaced the receiver/drier, condensor, both main suction hoses, and every o-ring that I could get my hands on. Then flushed out and cleaned the rest. Ultimately I was very happy and surprised with the Result .

Love how that valve cover looks

Getting charged !

IT GETS ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 40 degree Temps !!! What ??? and here’s proof

Here’s some recent videos that the Integra made an appearance in

man, that custom c pillar looks nice, just like the ben ogle c-pillar bars. keep it up man. nice build.
