My Horizon Gray Beauty

Buybrakes.com has good deals and decent shipping charges for aftermarket stuff. That’s where I got my Brembos and Axxis pads.

i love the paint after the claybar. SICK! i think u could stick with the headlights till u find a cheap deal on the real ones. (i got mine for 150 plus my stocks) but as far as waiting to find horizon grey mirrors… id say jump on some black ones. thats stock anyways. looks nice and healthy. ITS IN WAY BETTER CONDITION THAN MINE WAS WHEN I BOUGHT IT! good luck! cant wait to see some more progress!

thanks dude, ill definitely check it out. as of right now im leanin towards upgrading my brake lines to stainless lines and pick up some hawk pads or axxis pads.

thanks man! im really surprised how the clay bar turned out. after a car wash, i couldnt even lean against my car without sliding off lol some day this week i am goin to buy black trim paint and touch up my trims because it makes my car look hideous! here are a few pictures from the past weekend. a slight change … besides the one thing that i definitely need to get rid of … mirrors … so ugly!!!

 looking good! put on a nice set of wheels and call it a day.

You should touch up the side moldings on your doors.

Love the color on your DA.

Thanks man! TRYING to save up for a set of wheels that will rip peoples eye balls out onto my car lol but these wheels will do for now … look

yeah as soon as i get paid, i been broke lately. money just has to be thrown into everything else besides my car :frowning: but thanks though, the horizon gray is pretty rare to see … over here in PA at least. i only know of one other horizon gray DA around and thats it.

picked this up for a good deal. how do they look? fresh ep3 center caps.

i picked these up because i was sick of what i was driving with and needed a good amount of tread of my tires so i can pass inspection.
so as of right now, i need to dumb money into PA state inspection. as much as i want to pick up some stock mirrors, its not my biggest worry right now. i need a new driver side axle, o2 sensor (cel is on :frowning: ) new spark plug wires, possibly a new intake or stick with the AEM cold air intake.
once i go thru inspection ill know exactly whats goin on with my car, hopefully nothing serious …

i was wondering though and pretty annoyed that it happens. i put on my AEM cold air intake like last week and its been driving fine, no problems until today. my car would start misfiring. it would happen around under 3k rpm. it happened before, so thats why i gave the AEM CAI a rest. i decided to put it back on and everything was fine until today. so i switched that out and put a cheap expandable intake tubing that i had and it ran perfectly fine. so im trying to figure out the problem. im under the assumption its my spark plug wires because my distributor seems fine (i could be wrong) my spark plug wires are some POS ones for all i know. but if anyone has a clue out there, PLEASE school me…

you should change your mirrors

nahh man, are you crazy? those mirrors cost me 300. ima keep them and to set it off ima put a full wings west body kit on my car. now that’ll be pimp.

but seriously dude, no disrespect but im well aware that i need to change my mirrors. i didnt wanna post up my car and have everybody tell me … “CHANGE YOUR MIRRORS” its kind of annoying to hear over and over again. maybe i should change the title of my thread to “should i change my mirrors or not?” not tryin to be an asshole but if i come off as one, well sorry i hate bein told several times about something that i already know.

Seriously…

But in case you havent been told, you should change your mirrors yo

sometime next week when i get paid, im broke as shit right now. just dumped the rest of my money into inspection for my car.

sorry. i guess it wasn’t very funny.
sweet whip though. always loved the HG

the mirrors were already on the car when I bought it. I was jokin about keepin the mirrors. Those things look terrible. I would change em but my pockets are on E right now.

yea, i was joking, man. i edited my post because i figured it had carried on long enough.
guess i was a bit slow on the edit

Lol its cool man, I got nothin but respect for those who have respect for other g2 members. Appreciate the apology though but its no biggy.

But yeah thanks man! The HG is a gorgeous color. I’m seein if someone body can take some night shots of my car cause its a whole nother look at night. How do those old school LS meshies look?

heres another one. gettin my car inspected.

lookin very good above :iagree:

i wanna suggest though when you paint your moldings to do it in a 3 step process all the way around. 1. a primer for plastics like Bulldog 2. Paint. 3. Clear Coat.

apply genereous and even coats of each with time to dry in between each spray.

At least thats what i did when i repainted all my moldings and it came it better than new. i just really took alot of time masking but when done its worth it. At the local auto paint store i got all supplies for no more than 40 bucks for the best cans available there. Good luck tho. your cars color looks exactly like mine but mines called melbourne blue metallic and yours horizon gray.

did you have to bypass any vacuum lines to install the intake?
or you’re may be running rich, causing the plugs to foul over time
can’t hurt to try resetting the ecu. though most say it’s not necessary on an intake install

yeah i didnt have to bypass any vacuum lines, the vacuum lines are just open …:hmm:
im pretty positive im not running rich but what are the symptoms of running rich?
and i have resetted the ecu before, didnt make a difference. still the same result …

poor mileage would probably be the only thing you’d notice visually. maybe fuel odour
probably be a good idea to check codes before coming to any conclusions.
you say this happens after about a week of driving with the CAI installed? but ceases to occur with the stock unit back in place?
