poor mileage would probably be the only thing you’d notice visually. maybe fuel odour
probably be a good idea to check codes before coming to any conclusions.
you say this happens after about a week of driving with the CAI installed? but ceases to occur with the stock unit back in place?
well im certainly not gettin the mileage im suppose to be gettin and the only codes im gettin is for the o2 sensor and thats it. and with the CAI installed it happens on its own, could be as soon as i put it in, next day, a couple days later, a week later. ive been drivin with the crappy expandable intake tube and its running completely fine. its weird and i really want to get it figured out.
I always wanted a horizon gray teg but could never find one other then some guy on main street in lansdale that had one for sale after i found another teg. That color is just as rare as seeing other blade silver tegs.
I know exactly the one your talkin about. My buddy branden (cupofnoodles on tst) use to own that DA until he sold it for a 240 and ever since then that horizon gray DA you see in lansdale has been gettin beat to shit.
Throwing an o2 code? That alone can throw off your fuel mileage… the CAI shouldn’t have any negative effects on your fuel mileage. But what vacuum lines did you leave ‘just open’? That may possibly add to or cause your issue. Though if they were left open on your last intake, then I really can’t think of much besides your o2…
probably a combination of the o2 sensor and the intake. it probably runs rich with the bad o2, then richer coupled with the intake to the point that it’s misfiring. once you change the o2, i’ll bet you’ll be fine with the CAI. but leave it off for the time being
alright well ill definitely look into gettin a new o2 sensor. im drowning with bills and what not so its hard to get my car where i want to but thanks guys for your help trying to figure that out for me.
you should probably get that done quick styles. a bad o2 will cause a rich condition, which will cause your catalytic converter to heat excessively. which will, in turn, cause the cat to fail and burn out
LOLL very funny, but yeah i have a set of mirrors im gonna pick up this week, just waitin on my slow ass pay check if it could take any damn longerrr. . . . . . .
It is Lebra. Just search 90-93 integra hood bra and it should pop up.
Need to take some new pictures and got a lot of new goodies coming in for her. A possible turbo build coming that may or may not stay depending on how everything goes.
