My jasper build thread, G2TEG 2!

Are you going to run the Pancake Racing Hiro wing with the OEM rear hatch visor or keep them separated (meaning one here and one there)? As much as I’m a rare parts enthusiast, I’ve passed up many rear hatch visors just to keep the rear simple with the wing; both together seem a bit much in my opinion. Just curious about what you plan on doing.

I’m going to see how it looks but they might be ran separately to change up the looks every now and then. But we will see how everything looks. I understand what you mean though about them being cluttered. I will put them both on my car and see how they both look

Thanks for getting back, sounds like a good plan. I’m in for seeing them both installed; I’ve always been curious as to see what it’d look like. Both pieces [seperately] would definitely give your car a different look.

Yeah it defiantly would look different from no wing to visor. I’m interested as well to see them together and separately. We will see when I get it back from the booth!!

Good question! I cant see myself with both of them on. May seem too much.

Once the car gets back from the shop I will post pics together and separate. Ive never seen the rear visor and hiro together so who knows might be something special might not. Only time will tell, I mean I’ve already been doing different stuff on the car so it might look okay.

It’s been a while I haven’t checked out this thread. Sick updates man the car’s going to look awesome when you get it back. Wish I had a garage to work on my teg over the winter. 5-6 months just sitting there doing nothing. I could get so much work done during that time :frowning:

Cant wait bro!’

Kind of a negative to the project is I’m heading out this week for work for a few months to Rosewell, New Mexico! Yay! lol So im going to have my brother and my dad pick up my car from paint while I’m gone, and drop it off at a storage unit to keep it safe until I get home! I will keep you guys updated with the status of the car and have my brother take pics of the paint while I’m gone.

So heading out tomorrow for work, and it’s very bittersweet to leave my car and everything, but I do love to work and my job so it’s okay. But anyways I stacked all my extra parts that could get messed up, scratched, or all my valuables in my room while im gone on my trip. Got stockpile here.

koni and the cusco bar yummy. lol

^Nice. Wish I had a stock pile of parts
Thanks man! I really appreciate all the kind words! I’ve always been a fan of your car just so you know! I have been reading your thread for a while lots of inspiration from your thread! Welding is always been a skill of mine since before high school, it really opens up a lot of doors on parts you can make. Thank you about the crossmember I thought it would be something different that I haven’t seen done before. For polishing I got a polishing kit from harbor freight it works really well, first I will sand it with some high grit sand paper then use the different polishing compounds to get it to shine well.

Iloveda9- Thanks man I just took a wire wheel on a grinder and just took all the paint and rust off. Then just painted them all up.

Also on a side note I bought a pair of bumper plugs for the car as well cant wait to get those one the car too!!
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Still more to come this summer :). I’ve got a polishing kit, but I’ve only done flat surfaces like my charge pipe and intercooler. Maybe I’ll try it out elsewhere. Loving all the new updates and parts, good luck in NM and I’ll make sure to check back.

Excited to see what you got going on soon. I’ve also found that a buffing wheel on a large bench grinder make work alot easier as well. No waiting for the compressor to charge up or batteries dying. Yeah we will see how NM goes first day out the jobsite and I’m already disappointed. So we will see how everything plays out down the line.

Like all the progress. I bought one of those rack systems from Lowes for mine, but I have a basement to put it in. Closet top shelf is full too…

Found some parts for the motor that I’ve been wanting for a while. If he gets back to me in time I might have some cool stuff to show you guys!

:corn: waits impatiently… lol

I wont keep you waiting, Im looking to get a set of TWM 50mm itb’s with 510cc injectors, fuel rail, and golden eagle vacuum manifold. Waiting to have the guy to get back to me so I can pick them up!

Nice!

Hopefully you have a good tuner, I hear ITBs are a bitch. It will turn out awesome though man!

Yeah I heard they are too, my buddy is best friends with the owner of hybrid works of Vallejo and he does good tuning. So that would be cool. It’s not guaranteed I will get them but it all depends if he will ship them.
