Car looks amazing!
You going to put pins on the hood man? Or did you put something to help hold it down?
[QUOTE=Teg Youngin;2296929]Quick update and some more teasers! Bought a set of new one pieces, I was tired of the black housings and wanted to have original lights! I got them in the mail and these babies are mint!! no scratches or fading or missing anything! I got my slim fan for the radiator from jhpusa and did some more tucking on the bay. Its slowing coming along! I’m very proud of the car it’s turning into!
After the install!
And shes on the ground!!!

on what did you mount your towing strap? i dont know if i missed that post or not? i just got mine in and i wanted to put it on
No I am just using the stock hood latch I have never had a problem with the hood or latch before. I regularly inspect them.
Unified- Thanks man your car is equally clean! I’ve always been a huge fan of your car!
Herb-Thanks alot! Appreciate the positive feedback from you. I used to love your silver DA thats what made me go koni/gc after seeing how low you were.
I mounted it to where the stock lower tow hooks go in the engine bay and fished it through the front grill. hope that makes sense!
Car makes me jealous man. It’s lookin’ really good
it does…but…my OE tow hook is mounted like (l) instead of (_) <– if that makes any sense…i’m going to more than likely pull the front bumper this weekend and see what i can make work. thanks for you input though
Yeah did the same thing. I don’t mount them anymore but I just gave the tow hook a slight twist to lay flat. Doesn’t affect it in anyway. And I used that tall oblong hole in front on the tow hooks.
sweet sounds good, thanks man
MY goodness. WHat a nice lookin teg
Teg is looking amazing Dustin!
Thanks man! Really appreciate it!
Thank you!
Got a few updates! Finally got the brackets for the Legend calipers I bought! I was going to paint them and put them on but I thought it would look so much cleaner if I went through and ground down all the casting marks and dipples on the calipers instead to make them look super smooth…So thats what I did!
Here was the beginning!
Started on the corners first
Finished with most of the grinding, with through with a grinding stone and got the hard to reach areas.
Got them all painted up! I wanted them to be black to keep them subtle and not red or anything.
Here was the assembly on the other caliper. All new hardware!
Oem nissin pads!
On the car! I love how subtle but clean they look against the rims!
Got the other side mounted up later in the night
amazing every update is just awesome!
Do these stick out further than the originals?
love this build!
You driving this beast yet?
Hey Dustin. Everything looks awesome! I looked back through the thread but couldn’t find the answer. What spring rates are you using with the Koni’s? Also, can you let me know what you think of the ride for the street, bumps, highway, track etc? I trust your judgement since I use my car for basically the same purpose as you. Right now I have the KYB AGX w/ the 350/270 rates from back in the day. Waaay too soft obviously. I am thinking of getting the Koni setup you have, the other option would be the Skunk 2 Pro SII but I’m not if they will provide everything I’m looking for including longevity and quality. Thanks - Jon
Thanks Jon! I’m using 650front/ 750 rear springs on the konis. I had them on my kyb’s too and they felt good. I havent driven on them with the koni’s yet. with the kyb’s and those springs it handled nice, rotated well on the off throttle, and a very neutral feel on acceleration on corners. But like I said I havent driven on them or used them yet since I bought them so I’m anxious to see how it rides as well. I will keep you posted about how it drives and feels!
Not yet! Still taking my time and taking it slow to make it right, cant rush it!
