New signature. This is exactly how I feel. Seeing how the Honda community is now (at least in my area) and still having the motivation and drive to want to put together my car knowing the pride and feeling of accomplishment I get out of transforming my car makes me feel good.
Hey guys got some big updates for you soon! I would upload them but Iām heading down to corona right now for the chronicles year6 meet so I will post them hopefully Sunday. And if your going to be at the meet come by and say hello!
Hey guys been really busy lately and my cord to upload my photos isnt working so I havent been updating. Those of you that are friends with me one facebook and instagram have probably seen all the things going on. But here are a few pictures from the Year6 Chronicles meet to hold you over and you can see the itbs all finished.
Such great a built thread man congrats, very inspirational I read every page of the thread. I really like what you have done with your da and the time and effort you have put in to it.
Still waiting for you to build me a x-bar and front lower tie barā¦
Too busy getting your media coverage I seeā¦
All jokes aside, itās awesome to see such a quality build get recognized for exactly what it is. Keep it up bro.
So here is some updates for you guys gonna be pretty long but hope all you guys enjoy it!
Start off with the polishing of the ITBās took them all apart and start polishing the aluminum first the moved to sanding the manifold then cleaning the throttle bodies.
My work station
Before shot of the horns not polished or anything
Beat up
After
Going back together my table was getting dirty after some night work
before and after shot
filing and more filingā¦ hours worth
Started the filing and sanding of the manifold piece, I was planning on polishing it but decided after a while to get it powdercoated instead.
One of the studs in the manifold was broken off from when I bought it so I went to work on pulling the piece out and rethread it.
Sent out some parts to the powdercoaters. Was going to get the oem type r refinished in wrinkle red, the grey one finished in the same grey and the manifold to match the valve cover.
Sitting in the shop waiting for its new parts
Got my parts back from the coaters and took no time getting it back together, With a golden eagle vacuum manifold and tucked it away under
Got them mounted and started assembling everything back
Pulled it outside for a wash before heading down the Chronicles meet
just beautiful, man. you must be very proud. love the attention to detail
Thanks man, yeah Iām very proud of them! I think they turned out just beautiful, I think they compliment the car well with the colors and the era they are from.
DOPE!!.. so much hard work and dedication!!
Dustin, Putting in workā¦ Im loving the updates since ive last checked in on your. gonna have to make one of the un used photo shoot pics and a screen background on all my pcās. lol
looking good B, Keep it up
Great work Dustin. I see in the later pics that you changed to the boxy fuel rail. I think we spoke about that when I was at your house in September. Itās the small details that matter. Your car just gets better and better.
I bet those ITBās sound so sexy!
I didnāt even notice until reading your commentā¦ But you are 100% spot on. Itās all in the details. The square āextrudedā looking rail is so much easier on the eyes than the other versions.
Great stuff as always man.
Turned out awesome Dustin! The throttle bodies look so right in there and the new powder and fuel rail make it look even sharper. Nice job man.
Thanks man! I appreciate it! Thanks for the fuel rail, by the way how is your build coming along? Iāve been meaning to hit you up and see how the car is doing
My godā¦ your car is sooo beautiful.
Thanks tegzjunkie! Here everyone Im sure you guys would like to hear the way it sounds so here is a video of it running when i first fired them up. I didnt have the throttle cable hooked up yet.
