my ls-t to ls/vtec-t

update on whats going on with my car. it’s still not tuned yet but that will be done soon. i’m in the process of trying to make it more of a sleeper. so far i raised it, gsr blades, hood bra, black intercooler. im in the process of installing a 92-93 front bumper to be able to keep the grill and a stock axle back with an electronic cutout. been thinking about 15" steelies with some oem hub caps also…

looks good what u do internally?

Is that stain on the underside of your hood burnt paint from the heat of the turbo?

yep. well it’s from the manifold. you can also see it a bit on the outside. i’ll get a list of the internal work when i come back from work tonight.

thats some tight clearence on that breather line. looks good man:up:

Hey red, what size is your FMIC thats the size i was looking into running on my db1, im also gonna build the same Style charge piping as your hotside since i cant seem to find a cleaner way to run it i love your car man keep up the great work

block consist of srp pistons, eagle rods, type-r oil pump, type-r water pump, the rest stock and all rebuilt.
head consist of skunk2 retainers, skunk2 dual valve springs, skunk2 intake manifold, the rest stock and rebuilt.
nothing insane but no reason to go overboard for a 400-450whp setup either.

trans is a gsr ys1 with mfactory lsd. b&m dual bend short shifter, TWM 4" shift extender, skunk2 weighted knob. love the combo.

running no timing belt cover doesnt help:uhoh: but it’s really solid even not bolted down i cant push it into the belt. however the dumptube and radiator, now that’s close.

28x7x2.5

good idea for the hotside i love my hotside pipe. thanks man!

received my dual stage boost controller today  just got to put a bit more mileage on the engine before i hit the dyno. i have a bunch of pics but i dont know what to post. my old thread got deleted and i had posted a bunch of stuff there. oh well.

cell phone pic of my interior

looks real good. Very clean. Keep up the good work. I’d like to see some numbers when your done. Good luck with everything.

Lookin gooood! I don’t know if you posted this what turbo are you running and I know you haven’t tuned it yet so you don’t know the power change but how does the power difference feel?

haha dont worry once it gets tuned i will have dyno sheets and vids.

i have a GT2871R with the .64 a/r turbine housing. ill edit my original post with some info of the car. i kinda just posted a couple pics real quick but i’ll try to elaborate on my setup a bit. for the power difference i can’t really tell you since right now i have a type-r basemap so i cant boost. however from dyno sheets i’ve seen HP goes up and torque goes slightly down at the same boost levels. so im expecting to stay around the 300lbs-ft tq and be in the 400’s for hp. with higher rev’s and the shorter trans. should be a very fun setup. can’t wait to beat the shit out of it

haha no kiding.

300 ft/lbs of tourqe. ohh man that should be fun in a teg:rockon::up::up:

not gonna lie, it was absolutely nuts. if i floored it in third gear at 100km/h i would loose traction and hit the cutoff. highway pulls were a little tricky with the open diff it would shoot me to the right side.

in the handling department i’ve got a decent setup
-koni yellows
-ground control coilovers 450/350 with extended top hats
-prothane full bushing kit and es bushings for the ones that dont come in the prothane kit
-SPC front adjustable balljoint
-skunk2 rear camber kit
-ASR rear subframe brace
-jdm 23mm type-r rear swaybar
-205/50/15 falken azenis 615k

brakes
-brembo blanks
-hawk hps pads
-goodridge stainless braided lines
-ate dot 4 super blue racing fluid

good luck on the new set up hope you hit those #'s. i have similar set with borg warner s300 serious turbo. made 410whp on 15psi 520 on18psi

hey buddy. looking good.cant wait to take some pics together!

Looking good bro. Your setup is similar to mine so I’m keeping an eye on this since I was debating adding a VTEC head too, want a little more than 300whp too LOL :giggle:

Yup! Sure looks like you got a good set up going!

Let me know if you are gonna take pics. I gotta see this thing.

forsure u can join us if ur down!!!
