my ls-t to ls/vtec-t

it’s an ETD product. they ship all their stuff in ktuned boxes it seems. guess again!

G27 on a custom frame i fabricated. i used my stock 91 RS seat. i love it!

worked on my intake manifold tonight and got it all assembled ready to go. ported to 68mm to match the throttle body and port matched it to the head.

new stuff

I’ve been thinking of ordering the SPC front ball joint camber kits for a while and was wondering if you had any issues with them hitting the inner fender well causing little nipple like dents in the shock tower under the hood? That’s what the skunk2 complete control arms tend to do and I’m trying to avoid that.

they do hit if you’re pretty low like i used to be. but they just make one dent and that’s it. i can take a pic for you if you want.

Ya if you don’t mind. I don’t have my car slammed or anything but the ball joints need to be replaced and I figured why not hook it up with something nice and get everything straightened up.

Where did you get that cover plate on the throttle body that replaces the sensor. When i got my DB2 the TB on it just has the sensor unplugged n looks sloppy. Also nice work on the port matching. Ill have to do the same to install my Skunk TB.

redintegra, sorry to respond sooo late on your thread, but I wish I was able to bring some “IMO” advice. But I was once on an LS/VTEC turbo set up and I had spun a rod bearing on my first set up and a dropped valve onto my # 2 piston set up. IMO I really believe, after reading many of other stories, that the LS/VTEC turbo set up is not safe and reliable at all do in part with the oil journals and what not. Someone from Alaska on your thread mentioned of some failures of this set up as well. I highly encourage to stay all LS or all VTEC before you continue on with a turbo. I dunno, I’m sure others here will argue the fact some are fine if well built and tuned, but my last set up was and it still failed on me at high rpms.
Its still your build, but I’d rather you look into and research. I will begin researching more myself on the whole LSV-T, but with my BLT Burger(B1.9,LS,turbo), I’m content with what I have and dont really care for VTEC anymore.

no problem ill try to get you those pics tomorrow.

i had a giant sheet of stainless steel lying around so i just cut it out and added an o-ring underneath.

i understand what you’re saying but there are sooooooo many ls/vtec turbo setups that i doubt that’s 100% the reason. if this second one doesn’t work i’ll probably pick up a gsr block though because i was thinking of the same thing. i’m willing to try again before giving up.

i didn’t get my engine this week like i was supposed to but i just picked up a 92-93 front bumper to complete my sleeper look. it’s only holding by the two screws in the wheel well at the moment and the lip is holding by tie raps. looks like i won’t have to cut anything out. maybe a bit for the piping but i’ll see once i get the setup back together.

:up::up:

thanks man haha you’re the only one interested in my thread. can’t wait to boost this thing to 25+ psi with the water/meth it’s going to be ridiculous! not sure if i’ll get the car painted this year i kinda don’t care at all about looks anymore. all function. and any ways, it’s less attention from ricers, cops, and especially thieves.

HAHA its things like 25+ PSI and water/meth that keep my attention :giggle:

just curruis, but since your you gonna be running w/m, im sure with less then 20lbs and w/m injection, you should make insane power levels. what are you gonna do when you turn it up to 25+

I like the 92-93 much better! Do you guys have E-85 up that way? I can’t remember

Nice work, I am a big fan of the sleeper look. I have a boosted 93 Accord wagon that looks completely stock, it’s really fun to drive.

im going to hold on tight!

unfortunately not. the best we have is 94 octane at petro canada stations. according to the w/m instructions, 93 octane plus the w/m equals about 110 octane. so the tune this year will be pretty sick i imagine.

nice i love those wagons.

Heck yea man, can’t wait to see what she puts down!!

my tuner just called me. engine is ready to be picked up.

good shit man, i cant wait to see this completed your car is still my motivation to get my DB1 finished and boosted lol. I hope to finish it this next summer when i get home from afghan, keep up the good work brother

Excellent news man!

i really have to stop being lazy and start work on this car. i have a bunch of parts to install and i’ve just been delaying week after week. i guess i’m just waiting to get my engine and ill do it all at once. waiting on my head because the machine shop is on vacation. bought some type-r cams though :). i suppose i can install the block and trans this weekend. thats the big part of the job i suppose the head takes no time to install.
