My new da9

\What’s up, I just picked up my first da9, a 1993 gs about a week ago. I previously owned a cb7, but always wanted an integra.

The car is a 5 speed with 240,000 miles on the body, the person I bought it from didn’t own it for very long and didnt know much regarding the maintenance of the car but I believe the motor/trans has been rebuilt or swapped for a lesser mileage one. The car is in excellent shape, except a few minor dings and the red paint is faded.

Some plans I have for the car

repaint
ground control/koni yellows eventually
possibly b20 swap down the road

Very nice start

Clean!

Thanks guys. It is going to be a slow build, but I look forward to restoring this car.

Looks like the interior fared a lot better than everything else haha. Good luck with her!

Nice grab. If you need a honda mechanic, mine in north Marietta has been good to me since my first DA.

Very good find! Hope to see some restoration

needs some work but a solid starting platform

Thanks. Pictures don’t do this car justice, it’s actually really clean besides the paint issue. And thanks dpintos! I’ll have to keep that in mind. I’m just trying to solve the normal leaks like the passenger floor at the moment. All new fluids and spark plugs soon, I’m on a budget haha.

Do I see oem floormats? Those are rare.

Yes, all but the driver mat are in great shape.

I always hear about this leak but I have never had this problem haha. Good luck man. I think the fix is archived on here somewhere. I know I saw that someone has figured out what it was

Yeah, I’ve read the threads before, just haven’t got around to tackling the leaks yet.

Here is a more recent shot of the car. I also removed the old purple tint and put on a skunk2 shift knob.

I dig the OEM wheels.

Clean start sir. I hate how old Honda red fades to pink lol… it will look worlds better with the exterior addressed.

Definitely keep us updated with it!

Thanks! I hope to get it painted in the future, I just don’t have the funds at the moment. I will definitely update when I do some more stuff to the car.

I don’t know how I missed this thread this whole time, but very nice find. Really wish I could aquire a 92 or 93 Teg. I’m always purchasing 90 and 91s. Anyway, seeing that you are in the Atlanta area, if you are on Import Atlanta.com, come check us out this week on the DA squad forum. A member on that site is trying to round up a get together this coming sunday. I personally want to check out your interior. looks well maintained. All in all, best of luck on your build. dpintos, sound off, you and laokid need to come through as well as stubby.

Thanks! I might have to check that out!

Nice buy man hoping to see the progress on this.

So I got rear ended today by a guy in a taxi, We kind of decided to settle it outside of insurance because I know it would probably be totalled even though the damage is not that bad, I got hit at a stop sign at very low speed. the part I am worried about is the panel below the tail light. it is dented in in the left side but not absolutely terrible, and the side quarter panels are untouched as well as the hatch. Is this fixable?
