A couple of weeks ago I finally got my 62mm bore Throttle Body installed and I must say I noticed alot of improvements in my overall powerband, the motor pulls really strong from 3k and up. When I had my stock T.B on the teg didnt pull as hard, especially with the 17"rims I had but after doing this mod my teg pulls hard and the 17’s dont feel so heavy.
For those of you who are skeptical about doing this, dont be, money well spent IMO, only wish I would of done it sooner.
there’s isnt anything in the forum rules that say you can’t say where you got some work done on your car. You must be thinking of team-integra, those communist bastards wont let you tell ppl even where to get strut bars…
so you can let us know, if you dont believe me just go to a look at the forum rules…
so come on and let us know!
^ word. They closed my EM Racing thread due to free advertising. So I reposted without any info what so every about a company, and with no prices, just stating I wanted a head count of people interested. They closed that one. Then I emailed the moderator and asked what I could do to make it a legal post and what was wrong with the last one. So I made a 3rd post that didn’t have anything that the 2nd one had based on his email reply and the shut that one down to. So I emailed them back and told them to go fuck themselves and shove their site up their ass. lol.
So did JG do it? I’m thinking of getting mine done when I swap the 94 tb and im on.
i just did the aebs intake manifold and jg 62.5mm thottlebody on my 92 GS-R. i had some fitment issues with the intake manifold. it was hitting on the alternator bracket. so we had to grind part of the intake manifold off…no big deal there you won’t notice it. another thing is the intake air temp sensor is right behind the fuel pressure regulator so you have to run an aftermarket fuelrail or just get another ATS and leave it laying somewhere. although you have to use a throttle body off a 94+ because the fast idle valve is on the throttlebody and it is on my stock intake manifold. no place to put it on the aebs intake manifold. I do have a slight idle surge from like 500-1000. not that big but it might be in a vaccuum hose somewhere. went it does start to surge you can feel it in the brake pedal at redlights.
not really notice too much in 1-2 gear but when vtec hits in third and fourth its a WHOLE lot louder and pulls better. i don’t know about fifth yet.
hope this helps some. let me know if you have questions
When you have a throttlebody bored, it doesnt affect the A/F ratio does it? Im gonna get mine done this week, but im not going to have to increase my fuel am I? Also, does anyone know the average increase in HP this gives?
why wouldnt it be? visually you cant tell its been done and i’ve never seen any smog tech waste their time to pull off the intake arm to look at the TB.
Should be fine on smog tests, the plate difference for air/fuel ratio won’t be that far from stock, so the ECU can account for it.
As to advertising - this is the Product Review section. If you don’t mention a company by name, how the hell are we supposed to know about the product?
We aren’t team-integra, nazi fartcannon group of the intarweb.
when i went from my stock tb and intake manifold to blox and a tappered bore itr it was night and day on my ls. Used to loose power at around 7500 now it pulls easily to 8200 gained around 13whp with lots of tunning compared to stock.
