How much did it cost you though? I bet 14’s on an LS with boost would be more reliable as well.
96 P&P head with springs, retainers, cams and gears was 400
manifold, tb, fuel, hondata (all not necessary with stock bottom, but needed when the bottom is done)

Oh yeah, stock redline?
nah, not the 2nd line, just the first and some other stuff like an fpr, and tuning was around 600 total
but i am running hondata s200 with datalogging no redline (shift at 7700 though)
I want a higher redline, but only because it sucks going from a GSR to a 90 LS; especially when you run out of gear at 120mph while you’re still making plenty of power.
so you only have those mods… and it was about 600 bucks total? or what other mods do you have that made you hit 14.9 wow… so where can I get that stuff I would love to be in that with out a turbo or anything for right now!
i have more mods, but the only ones that factor into my power right now are the head (400) and tranny(400)

if you can drive your but off and find good deals, its possible. there isnt a sure fire way to tell

Ls/vtech conversion with a turbo
or b16 jdm with a turbo
I hear the b18c5 are monsters but ive been unable to find what they run stock in the 1/4 mile…
and the ls/vtech is reallly good, but hard to build it reliable especially with a turbo (also the teg tip says with a ls/vtec you should be around 190 hp)
or I could get a jdm b16 and put a turbo on that, wont get as much tourqe possibilities as the ls/vtech but more power with less boost and most likely more reliable…
I’d boost a B18C5 before I’d even attempt an LS/VTEC.
if you want serious power. aebs sleeve a type R block to 84mm. build the piss out of it so you can boost the hell out of it.

That is a B18C5 motor. He is on stock suspension so he runs like 12.7 at 125mph.

I’ve hit high 14’s with some pretty simple steps…
All air box componets removed added a K&N cone, web cams,
DC sports header, with 2.25in header back piping with N1 n/a muffler
removed the following AC, powersteering, crusiecontrol, replaced fans with one slim line fan, running on mickey thompson slicks… full interior, just took out spare tire…
If you are going to spend the money to “build the hell out of it” why don’t you just boost it? You’d be so much more happy with a turbo.
the venom chip is pretty shitty really, IMO you could use the money for something else
