My time - question

A chip for most N/A applications is worthless.

i picked it up for a good price 100 shipped… i wouldnt spend the 300+ it costs new.

im mad because it wont be here until tomorrow and im going to the track today… so I am hoping to hit high 15’s with only an AEM intake and 2 1/4" exhaust… I havnt gotten my Thermal on yet =\

OK look I have a 97 ls motor in my DA with crower 404z and crower springs and retainers. I also have a b16 cable tranny with a chipped ecu. I/H/E no bottom end work yet. I run 14.4 to 14.5 with drag radials all day long car is gutted. Why spend 3000 on a b18c when it runs in the 15s when you can spend 3000 on your ls and outrun alot of cars.

yea… I hear that… I am thinking… lol… lotsa choices to go with ya know… and what the hell… why am I running the same time I did last year… when I was stock and I have AEM cold air and Thermal Cat back now??? whats up with that

Why spend $3,000 to run a mid to low 14 on a completely gutted car at all? What a waste! I spent less than that on parts and run a 14.00 with a full interior with trap speeds as high as 106.87mph. And to top it off, this is at 5,830 ft above sea level.

but anyone and everyone runs turbo LS. you dont see nearly as many NA LS setups beating other NA setups. when you go turbo, 14s are high times. when you go NA LS and hit a low to mid 14, thats a greater feat than a turbo car going low mid 13s.

If thats the reason why you go N/A, than why don’t you make Escorts run 15’s? Hardly anyone does that.

thats not the reason i went all motor. i went all motor in the gen 2 because this was the first car i could afford that i liked. i liked the body style, i liked the aftermarket capabilities, i liked the overall car. i chose NA LS because its easy to piece together slowly and modify at first. i dont want to be like everyone else and their cars and setups. i like my look and my setup.

That is right you don’t see to many DAs running what I run all motor that is why I did it. You say you ran a 14.00 with a turbo LS that is slow I know some one that runs low high 12z with a da. With my new setup I am hoping to run mid 13z all motor :dance:

I run a 14.00 at 106mph at 5,830 ft above sea level on probably a cheaper set-up than any all-motor car that runs 14.00 at sea level. Wanna try again?

it really all depends on what you want…

if you want to go fast as possible on a budget, then yeah a turbo LS will be cheaper then a all motor LS… not everyone wants that though…

i’ll take a 13sec all motor LS over a 12 sec turbo teg…

I think people sleep on all motor LS’s more which is why i like them, i’m hitting 14’s with just cams and bolt ons in my ls, and when you look in my motor bay it looks stock besides a K&N and header, so people assume it’s probably gonna be a low 16 high 15 sec car… anyways like i said i won’t be out running any turbo tegs with my setup but i know what to race and what not to, i’ll leave the faster cars for the big dogs… once i hit low 14’s all motor ls then i’ll put a 50 or 75 shot hidden on my car and keep it a ls sleeper
