N2O WOT microswitch bracket on intake manifold

Single nozzle wet kit, almost fully installed but…

I need to install the WOT N2O activation microswitch (spray trigger) on my B18A. As you know, it must touch the throttle pulley at WOT.

As I’m not familiar with the intake manifold, I don’t know were to drill holes for the microswitch bracket.

I wanted to use metal screws on the intake manifold but since I don’t know the thickness of it, I may pierce all the way through it and get owned by shedding metal scrapings inside the manifold, having to remove the manifold afterward to clean it up.

Does anybody has a suggestions (pics very welcomed), I thought of drilling in the bumps on the intake manifold that are facing front, they look thick enough but are they really?

Thanks

I’ve added a pic to be clearer in my description

you put this switch underneath your throttle pedal…dont mess with your intake manifold ive never heard of anyone putting the switch on the I/M…what brand kit do you have??

run a zex or nx tps switch. wot switches are garbage. how much you planning to spray? seems like everyone has a four door now days.

I had an N.O.S. dry kit with the WOT switch. When you look at the throttle body from the intake side, I used the nut on the bottom right of the throttle body to hold the bracket. Its the closest to the flat spot on the throttle linkage. Hope that helps.

Thanks for answers

TurboG2teg311 : I’ve already put aside installing the switch under the gas pedal, that car is my beater (winter driving = salt, corrosion …). I bought this kit on ebay, it’s a Cold Fusion universal single nozzle wet kit, it seems pretty OK.

KraZEtEggIE : I’m installing this for fun purpose (learning and using, I’m not a serious racer) , so I don’t want to invest too much, if the microswitch works like shit, I’ll try these patches : spray switch on shifter knob or if necessary that TPS switch. I’ll look closer at that TPS switch option if it’s not too expensive and not to hard to install.

I’m planning starting at 30 HP shot and going up progressively to maybe 70 HP max. By the way, newbie question, how can you tell I have a four door (I assume it’s by the serial number)?

warped_dreams : I’ll check that bolt you’re talking about if I go with the WOT switch, it think I’ll forget the idea of piercing the manifold.

Thanks to all

look on ebay. i’ve seen tps switches go for $30 shipped. sometimes companies sell them at around $50 buy it now. i think retail is more like $65.
the vin says db1 in it… =)
with nitrous its best to not cheap out. 30 shot, you won’t feel much but it might be good for testing the system. buttons aren’t bad, i wanted a hurst shift knob with the nitrous button on it but i went stand alone so it controls all my nitrous. just remember to retard your ignition timing after 50 shot. you can keep the nitrous setup on a budget, just make sure you do your research.
