Need Some Advice...

I’m thinking of adding some power to my car, Was wondering how JDM’s full turbo kit worked out, if anyone has one, and what they’re running for boost. Its all stock for the time being, I was thinking of going T3/T4 for now and running 8psi. Im having a custom 2 1/2 exhaust tigged. Any help is def. welcomed…
Was wondering how JDM’s full turbo kit worked out
in the VIP threads, there is one for ebay turbo kits. thats what this falls under. its not worth it and its going to suck.

this is the consensus all over the web… and from previous users.
what they’re running for boost.
this is going to differ for every person. as the psi number really doesnt matter since the specs on the turbos very per kit. so this information will not be helpful to you.
I was thinking of going T3/T4 for now and running 8psi.
what specs on the t3/t4? you should probably look into that. i notice a lot of people just spit out that they have a t3/t4 but yet dont really know what they are running. 50 trim? 57 trim? 60 trim? what is trim? these are things you need to know before you boost a car. also, goign with a quality turbo kit will be cheaper in the end. if you cant fork out that much right now, you can always piece the kit together. i can help you with this if you want, but i am sure there is already a thread with the info.
Im having a custom 2 1/2 exhaust tigged.
depending on your end power goals, turbo specs, dp size and manifold design, a 2.5 inch exhaust might not cut it. does your car need an exhaust already? i.e. is it rusting away? if not, i might sugggest you hold off on it till you have your turbo “kit” installed. this would alleviate the headache of doing the exhaust again since you didnt get it big enough.

2.5 inch (ID) is good enough for most turbo applications to 300 whp. if your end goal is below this, then you should be good to go for this size exhaust. only thing i can suggest on the exhaust is a quality high flow muffler and resonator. ensure that the resonator is actually matched to the ID of the exhaust. so as to no make it a spot where “back pressure” can be created.

ID = inner diameter
