Hey everyone, so I came across this ad on ebay for a set of slotted/ crossdrilled rotors for my integra with some pads, as well. I got em for only 90 bucks with free shipping.
here’s the details:
complete set of 4 drilled/slotted rotors with front PBR XBG brake pads. They are direct OEM direct bolt-on size, which means you will not need to change your calipers or any other hardware and use these with your stock wheels.
Our rotors come with a 1 year warranty against any warping and a lifetime warranty against cracking of any kind. Simply send them back and we’ll replace them for FREE.

on some real shit stop being cheap with parts for your braking system… its one of the most important systems of the cars operation. i wouldnt trust any ebay rotors or pads unless they are from a reputable company thats like putting water in your engine instead of oil…just my two cents. its your car tho dowhatchalike!!
Not everyone has big money to spend on brand name brakes…
Lol. They have a lifetime warranty. If they ever crack or malfunction in ANY way, they replace them for FREE. I’m not down to pay big bucks on overpriced equipment just cause it has a fancy name. I will let you know how they work out. but in my opinion, ANYTHING is better than what i have right now, my rotors are warped and its dangerous to go down hill.
thats one thing i wouldnt go cheap on is brakes, especialy cause you can get great package deals from online shops for reputable parts but hope it last, doesnt look to bad has anyone heard of that brand of Pads befor i havent
Axxis/PBR are very reputable and have been around for a long time. Their metalmaster series of pads are great for tracking.
Crossdrilled rotors have a tendency to crack, unless they are cast with the holes in them (i.e. Brembo rotors) Most cheap aftermarket rotors are crossdrilled after casting, causing the rotor’s surface to become weak.
It would have been better to go with $10 blanks from your local autoparts store. Crossdrilling and slotting decreases surface area, which results in less braking force. Sure they will run cooler, but in all my heavy braking at my local race track 10-15 laps at a time I have never overheated my brakes on blank rotors. If you track and are overheating your brakes, then it means you need brake pads which can handle the higher heat.
Axxis pads are great. I’ve loved mine and would definitely recommend them.
And he is also right about cross-drilled/slotted rotors… when you run a stock sized rotor that is drilled or slotted, you are taking away from the total surface area. Which is going to make you need to apply more pressure to the brake pedal to get the same amount of stopping-force that you would if you had a blank rotor of the same size. This is going to wear your pads out faster than if you had a set of blanks.
The reason why Ferrari/Porsche yadda yadda have cross drilled and/or slotted rotors is because the total rotor size is quite a bit bigger than need-be for the weight of the car… so they can get away with the loss of surface area as it has no bad effects on the braking power.
Its not just about “having big money” to throw at your brakes… its a safety issue. Again, as dragon said, most cheap drilled/slotted rotors are modified after the casting process… which compromises the integrity of the rotor. Sure, they have a lifetime warranty and will replace them if (when) they crack… but what happens when your rotor brakes in half due to some spirited driving/hard braking and you wreck your vehicle? I’m sure they don’t help out much in that case, besides “ship us your rotors and we’ll get you new ones!!!” Ugh.
It is best to get some Napa blank rotors, or even Brembo blanks… though the Brembos are made of a softer metal that will wear quicker than Napa/OEMs, they bite like a son-of-a-bitch. I did Brembos and Axxis pads on all four corners of my car for $320’ish I believe. Totally worth the money. The braking system is definitely one aspect of your car that you should be willing to spend a little extra on to ensure that your safety (as well as performance!) is top-notch.
I hope they work for ya man. Next time get some good blanks thoug, trust me.
If they malfunction, how do you know you will walk away from the crash to get them to honor the warranty?
It makes no sense to skimp on brakes. They are a safety feature. Now, I’m not saying go out and spend $500 on brakes. What’s wrong with going OEM? Go to the parts store and get the middle of the road pads and rotors.
If you’re gonna track the car then you need to upgrade. If just DD’ing then go to the parts store.
the pads are good i just dont trust the rotors you can def get a great deal on brembo blanks or a local car parts spot blank rotors anyway good luck with your setup and happy motoring
Yeah its just a daily driver, to and from work… If i wanna go on the highways or long distances ill take my eg civic. honestly, i just needed some new brakes real quick. and i came across a forum post about these brakes on ebay, what great deal thay are, etc… well i installed them today, took me about an hour, found out my passenger side axle is leaking grease like crazy, after having new axles installed about 3 months ago… great. ill roll with these rotor until i get ahold of some Aimco blanks or slotted rotors…
just installed my front lip today as well… short shifter will be tomorrow. and hopefully i can get my 1 piece black housing headlights to fit.
off topic: i need to modify my rear lip to fit with my OEM mudflaps, fun times.
I warped my OEM rotors going down this long hill by my house on my way to work. I have to go down this hill every day. It got so bad that i felt my pedal go to the floor and i lost my brakes completely and had to use the braking power of the engine and my e-brake simultaneously to stop. After that incident, they ware so badly warped that they rubbed and were vibrating very badly. I got these because i read that they provide more “bite” when you brake and will not overheat so easily… I don’t want to go through that scary feeling ever again.
Looks good bro thumbs up
I’m sure the rotors will work for ya… but when it comes time for replacement, your money will be best spend on blanks. That’s my honest opinion.
thanks man. maybe ill swap these rotors sooner than later. i want to break em in first.
you dont have to have big money to get good brakes… I did the Legend dual piston caliper and 11" rotor upgrade for the same that you spent on those ebay rotors and pads.
dual piston calipers at pick n pull ------$50
2007 mini cooper rotors(Centric brand)-$50
Centric ceramic brake pads------------$40
Sold my stock calipers for ------------$50
Thats a net cost of only $90
and here are some before and after pics… and just for reference those are 16" wheels
