Hi its been a while since i been on this sight and posted a thread always reading thought.I rebuilt my T3 .45 trim to T3 .60 through blaast performance, replaced drain to -10 and feed line with oil restrictor, started her up no leak,1 week later today…I was under the car and see a 2 rain drops of oil sitting at the bottom of the seal…no kinks in drain…cars not smoking…this is the second turbo that has leak from the bottom of seal…I was told to change oil to 5-50…10-30 is to thin…what do you guy think …it under warrenty…
if it’s leaking from the seal, id say get it warrantied.
Thanks for the reply,I wonder if he changed the seal as it is leaking from the same spot…do need a bigger drain or is this a rebuilt issue with blaast i have seen some post with peolpe not very pleased with his work ans some that are…my first ebay used turbo has lasted longer than the rebuild…he wants to send me a new center section of the turbo to be changed?will 15-50 oil help he has asked that i go with the thicker oil the he will replace the center section?.
blaast turbos suck anyway
your drain is small and also there is no need to run a thicker oil sounds like a cover up for using cheap seals
-12 drain line
-3 feed without restrictor unless its a china made turbo then u need it
-4 feed with restrictor but that matters on the turbo brand like BW turbos
Well i switched from 10-30 to 15-50 oil and it stopped the turbo from leaking …so i am not sure what to do here…The rebuilder sent me a new center cartridge…should i replace or just leave it?..
thanks
