Do our cars have that fuel line with the plasitc’ish core and simply wrapped with rubber on the outside of that? I am refering to the fuel line exiting the fuel filter and going to the fuel rail. I would like to use the barb style T-fitting provided with my nitrous kit to supply the fuel solenoid instead of buying a banjo fitting adapter. NOS states clearly in the manual that:
Certain vehicles are equipped with main fuel lines that hard plastic with a rubber-like shell. DO NOT cut or splice
into this type of line, since leak-proof connections cannot be achieved with the supplied hardware.
Therefore, I would like to know if I can put this T-fitting into this particular fuel hose or not?
I cant promise it will be so cheap. I deal with my location alot between work and well my teg:D and depending on whos there i get the hook sometimes(sometimes being the ket term there) Im not ever sure if i paid full price for these.
I found what I needed, and I got this out of the Turbo Guide:
Note how this dude just removed the factory fuel line and ran a piece of hose from a local parts store with hose clamps from the fuel supply tube at the fire through the fuel filter, and then into the fuel rail. My plans will slightly stem from this pic. What I would like to know is if the fuel supply tube at the firewall is already barbed/bubbled on the end or not? I ask this since a barbed/bubbled end would make a standard automotive fuel hose fit very well?
