Since your kinda new and everything heres another link. It’s very usefull for almost any question you have to ask.
take the money you have saved and put it towards the rebuild of your soon to be blown stock b20vtec.
sleeve that B20 then boost the shit out of it
use the search and type in ebay turbo kits…or ssautochrome. If you think its worth it then go for it.
i like how everyone has the response to “just sleeve it!”. funny how about 99% of the people that reply that way have no idea of what kind of money it takes to sleeve a block. theres alot of research needed before getting this done. it’s also who does it and what kind of sleeves used. sinking sleeves and other problems all need to be factored in when sleeving. now i’m not directing this to anyone in the thread so don’t take it personal i just wanted to let the OP know more about it.
oh and if your gonna buy a turbo kit stay away from ebay kit’s. the turbo’s won’t last more then a few months if even that. also if braced well enough u can make the cheap manifolds last longer. i’ve braced a few and so far they are still running around (turbos have all been replaced. they just don’t last due to bad quality)
especially when considering how many cars jeff evans has tuned without sleeved blocks (meaning stock sleeves) that are well over 600whp daily driven.
for most drivers, sleeves are merely a way of making up for a shitty tune. if your tuner knows what the hell he’s doing, you probably won’t need them. some cases require them, but usually those involve people making way more power than is streetable anyway.
