obd-0 PR4 engine manangment????

where do you get the chip burner. i understand TE but how do you get the data from your computer to your ecu?

You get the chip burner from anyone who sells them ::cough:: ::cough::

You hook the burner to your computer, burn the file on your computer to a chip and put the chip in your ECU, viola!

What cable do I need for datalogging and where ehem can I buy one. Also, Can I get wideband reading into ECUControl somehow?

Chunk,you can buy one here…

Thanks! I actually know that I just wanted to verify with xenocron that that the cable would work with my ECU, which one to get & info about wideband.

Thanks though

I havent used EC in a while but as far as I know EC will display a wideband value if inputted correctly to the ECU.

Also, if you are using the $199 LC-1, you can use Innovate free LogWorks software to display it on your laptop screen.

Chris

I have an LM-1 with the RPM converter. I was gonna use the other inputs on the RPM box to pickup tp and map. I have toyed with logworks a little bit, got it datalogging realtime and all.

I was interested in seeing how EC worked though because if the ECU is setup with the plug it seemed like it would be easier to tune other cars with (setup time wise). With the LM-1 I need to tap the tps and map lines, etc. etc. you get the idea. If EC works well all I need to do is O2 sensor, plug into ECU and away we go. I guess if EC doesn’t display wideband then its kinda dumb to go that route. I guess its worth the ~$30 to try it out.

I see you have a few cables on your site for sale, do you recommend one?

Whatever your laptop is setup for…

Also try Freelog for datalogging…I just downloaded it and am going to give it a shot but you can download it from PGMFI.org
