I was wondering if i tap the back of the block for my turbo oil feed is it really necessary to run an extra line off the adapter so i dont put too much weight on the port. Heres a picture of what i’m talking about.

Do it right. Either the first method or you put a sandwich adapter between your block and oil filter and run everything from there. I’ve been running the sandwich for 2 years without any problems.
What brand sandwich did you use?^
Errr, don’t remember the brand it was… Sorry. But from what I could say, they pretty much are all the same.
I use the greddy witch IMO sucks because the 1/8"NPT fittings are a little tight and if you try to retap it, you can screw the hole sandwich plate up. there all pretty much the same, so just find one in your price range…no need to go baller on something nobody but you are going to see…lol
I’ve got the one from glowshift, which smokeintegra posted, no problems here. All the holes were threaded properly, it comes with the gasket, and comes with plugs to block off all the holes you dont use.
I have heard of some brands having leak problems. I really dont want to deal with that at the track. i need one to plug in the vtec line and the turbo feed line.
So what do you guys think would be better, stealthmode oil line kit or running the sandwich and buying some braided lines. Which one would be cheaper also?
get the sandwich plate. it’s the best way to go about adding oil ports. plus if a fitting were to break inside the back of the block…your screwed… so just get the sandwich plate and be done with it. get the glowshift. that seems to work well for alot of people.
hey my greddy sandwich plate has 2 O-rings for a good seal. is there 2 on the glowshift?
Been running my oil feed set up for 3+ years with no problems. This is how I did mine in order from the block:
1/8" BSPT to 1/8" NPT female (Autometer)
1/8" NPT to -3AN (Earls)
-3AN feed line 24" (Earls)
-3AN to 1/8" NPT (Earls)
3 port 1/8" NPT (Generic from PartSource) where I plugged in my stock Oil Pressure Sender and Autometer Oil Pressure Sender body (for the oil pressure gauge)
-3AN feedline (Earls)
to -3AN restrictor (atpturbo.com)
the one you need is from golden eagle
