there is oil leaking from the oil feed to the turbo my guess is that the gasket is blown and i picked up a roll of cork gasket material…will that be able to stand up to the heat and pressure of the oil? or is there a special type of material that i should use?
i would use some high temp silicone and put it on both sides of the gsasket but not too much that it will ooz into the oil feed line hole when u tighten it up and also use teflon tape on all ur bolts / fittings for the oil lines
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dont use teflon tape, it deteriorates and will get stuck to the pickup screeen on oilpump pickup…
use honda-bond (grey permatex<RTV Gasketmaker>) just put a dab on the threads and run around the threads untill they are all filled in with the honda-bond.
I had my pickup screen cover’d in dump because of teflon tape. same with my buddys 240sx now he uses that red nissan shit and I ONLY will use honda-bond…
when applying teflon tape do not put it on the last two threds and it shouldnt have the opportunity to deteriate and go into the oil pickup supply but i guess it is still possible to have and opportunity to do so. so just use rtv then . that is what i was exactly thinking but i forgot the name of the stuff.
