I wanted to know what wrap or solutions you guys have done about the intercooling pipe touching the oil line. I have the stainless steel sleeve on the oil line but it is starting to fray, exposing the rubber oil line.
rubber oil line!??? get a real line and zip tie it back if its touching the piping
rubber oil line = suicide
:werd:
i think he has a stainless line already, i always thought that the stainless line is a rubber line, that has a stainless steal weave over it to protect it from puncture, i think hes saying that his is beginning to fray and the rubber line inside the line is exposed
That is exactly what I am saying, Thank. Do you have a solution like what wrap I should use. Would exhaust wrap work on intercooling piping or on the stainless steel line sleeved (with rubber hose insert).
exhaust heat wrap wiil work fine on your intercooler piping i think this will solve your problem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-x-15-Roll-Exhaust-Header-Manifold-Wrap-BLACK-by-DEI_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ42610QQitemZ8031698254QQrdZ1
The oil line should NOT touch you charge pipes if at all possible.
hey chunk can that manifold mount the compressor on the pass. side allowing for use with air conditioning or will the turbo hit the block?
yeah if you cant get around it touching the pipes, i would wrap them in exhaust wrap and take like the plastic wire loom (i think you can get it at walmart) and put that over the oil feed to protect it as well
My turbo setup is on passengers side
