Oil sandwich

I don’t use it nor do I think you can, but I know alot of people use the spot where the stock oil pressure sensor is and just Tap off of that to the back of the block with a “T” fitting.

there is a threa either here or on honda tech about the proper way to do this. A brass T off the back of the block will lead to one thing. You needing a new block.

golden eagle has the sandwich plate with the extra tap for a turbo feed line and the other line is for doing a ls/vtec.

if ur doin ls/vtec turbo i would use the golden eagle kit. like everyelse here said just get a brass fitting www.stealthmode.com and www.tunertoys.com has complete fittings for turbo feed and drain

I use without any problems the tunertoys Takeoff.

I dont see why you cant use the sandwich though if you want to. Its quite a bit more $$. I watched someone use one an a DA for LS/VTEC without any problems. Tunertoys also sells them.

ge kit is mint, they sell just the sandwich plate if you are goin turbo. i am going to tee off my oil press sensor untill i can afford a sandwich plate, if you don’t want to use a sandwich plate you can go right off of your oilpump.
on a side note, if you are using an oil cooler or remote mounted filter you can tee off of that hosing pretty easily.

I have always used a greddy oil sandwich for my LS/vtec and turbo. I have seen the block crack were the oil pressure sending unit is attached causing a b20vtec to shoot a eagle rod out the side. destroying everything. all because he cheaped out on a $60 part. :bang:

i know you’re asking about turbos but edik uses one for his all motor racecar. he’s the guy that does the videos in the video section, “From the seat of a G2” nuff said on how well it works.

damn juiced2ndgenteg that must have hurt. Your probably the first I’ve heard that has actually messed up the engine using the t fitting on the back of the block. I’ve had the same fitting on 2 blocks already, but must have been the person installing it or just the wrong threads on the end.

the sandwich plate witch actually sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn’t say that they are neccessary. remember these weren’t around until a couple years ago. not everyone uses it. and I’ve used the “Takeoff” “T-fitting” for 3 years now. and I know others that have been using it alot longer.

i figure the sandwich plate is just easier… plus the oil going to the turbo is filtered

go right off of the oil pump. a bunch of companies sell kits. it’s alot better than the t-fittings everyone uses. i would have, but i already got a t-fitting kit so i’m just going to use it till i get my sandwich plate.
