Okinawa XSi Build

so that’s a rental lol

its my friends car… hes letting me use it until i get mine back

I also thought the same thing. lol

stopped by the body shop and theyre making progress… slowly. it was supposed to be ready by now -_-*

:up: on the process. As long as they do a great job, the waiting will pay off.

whats the cost of paint job compare to north america?

its hard to say… the only paint job i got done in the states was at maaco and it was complete shit. that cost me ~800$. this one is costing me 1300-1500. i wont know the exact amount until i pick it up whenever they feel like being done with it

Good luck with the paint, looks like they are doing a nice job so far. Nothing beats a freshly painted car. Niooce “rental”.

thanks man. im hoping the end result is A+. the owner of the shop told me he wants to buy the car when im ready to sell it so hopefully he will do the job as though the car was his… you know what i mean?

the ITR im driving in now is going to be stripped down this weekend. my friend is going back to the states next month and is taking all the parts with him. its final days are approaching…

that seem like a really good price. good luck on the out come.

i got a call from the body shop today and they said 1 more week and will be done… im hoping so… i miss my car so much

The count down begins for the week…

i got my car back and the ITR is stripped and no more…

i’m working on a nice update for you guys with pictures and some words

well… for starters, the ITR is stripped and there is nothing left. we had the whole car shelled in a few hours. crazy easy. now we know what its like when people steal these cars.

now for my car…

im very happy with the end result. i hate the color red but this shade is something i can grow to like. when i saw it after they had painted it and did nothing else, i was a little worried that was the end result or at least close to it and i was way wrong. im going to get some better pictures at some point with my friends camera. i still need to renew my headlights. its the only thing killing the new paint. wheels are ssr professor sp1-r sbc 16x6.5+38 with a 7mm(?) space in the front. they didnt clear the calipers without it.

enjoy…

Seeing that ITR stripped down to nothing like that made me a little sad. I guess I have just heard to many stories of Hondas being stolen and parted out leaving nothing but a shell on a couple cinder blocks.

Yeah I agree it’s a sad sight. What’s the benefit of stripping it to leave a sad worthless shell in Japan? That’s one less real ITR in the world. On another note…paint and wheels look great!

Crazy thing is, 3 people were able to do that in a few hours. Drove it in and got straight to work, a few hours later and were cleaning up.

He stripped it because he wouldn’t have been able to sell it for more than 4k maybe and he could very easily make that and more from parts in the states. What it came down to was either he stripped it or the person he sold it to stripped it.

This is how a lot of cars end up here just because the parts are worth so much everywhere else. Its sad but its reality. Supras, skylines, rx7s, various subarus, ITRs, you name it. A lot of them end up like this.

Very nice. The paint job looks great. I usually don’t like the idea of painting the moldings gloss black, but it does look good with the color of the car. Doesn’t look like a half-ass job. Give it a different touch when parked next to another integra with the regular black moldings.

thanks. i wasnt sure about it either. i left the decision up to the body owner of the shop. i would of been happy either way and im kind of happy he chose the gloss. its flows pretty well since everything else on the car is so shiny.

The DA is looking sick. Where did you get it painted at? I had my wife’s black prelude painted at a place just down the road from camp shields back in 2011.
