i will also be doing a write up on the traction bar install. there is ZERO information on the internet about the gen 3 bars and the da. there is only 1 write up on the install of the gen 2 bar being put in an eg i think. the hardware i got doesnt match what the instruction on the website ( http://k-tuned.3dcartstores.com/90-93-Integra-Traction-Bar-w-B-Engine-Mount_p_207.html ) say i should have, so i may run into some issues… who knows…

update for today.

the super cool parts i got for the da will not be going in until i get my suspension. the traction bar requires me to get an alignment after install and it would make no sense for me to get one now then when my suspension gets in, to get another one. so it will happen at once. installing the traction bar, also requires me to drop my radiator so i cant install my radiator with putting the traction bar and i cant put the traction bar without my shocks…

i think the next update will be when my tails come in or the driving event this weekend that i will be “racing” in… RCCA is anyone has heard of it…

make sense do it 1 shot man. you will love the traction bar.

just a FYI, my radiator was still in car when did the traction bars, it didn’t move at all…only thing i removed was the crossmember, that one bar that runs under the motor and then the 2 bars that go to the control arms and bolted all the new shit in…

i thought the radiator was supported by that. like if you were to remove it, it would fall down because it wasnt mounted on anything… if thats the case, then i will go ahead and put the radiator in…

the tabs on the rad support, support the radiator, not the crossmember, once i have the tractions bars in tho i went ahead and cut the tabs off the support and put the mounting tabs onto the traction bars

i was just confused because i thought the tabs on top keep the radiator from falling foward and whatever is on the bottom of the radiator keep it in place and i thought that was part of the front memeber. but your saying i can drop the whole front member without the bothering the radiator?

new plug wires because the ones on there are falling apart, ss brake lines, and a b&m short shifter with the energy bushings…

that is corret… the cross member & radius arms are independent of the radiator and supports. the lower radiatore support holes are part of the front frame assembly.

So whats the purpose of the radiator mounts that k tuned offers with their bars? How would that work if the radiator is mounted to the frame? Would it just give the radiator a lean or what?

i honestly dont know, i know once i put in the k tuned bar i cut the stock tabs off the radiator support and put the ones on the k tuned bar just bc i had them…but the stock ones will hold it just fine and in the same spot lol

good chance i will be putting the radiator in on sunday along with an oil change.

So this weekend i did some ‘‘auto x’’. I’ll post up some pictures and videos later and i pulled my front and rear bumpers to fix the gap they had on them. I also pulled my snorkel and resonator out.

I didnt get a chance to the radiator. Maybe this weekend. I assembled it though. The mishimoto radiator, shroud and slim fan for the ac. It looks good except the mount holes on the mishimoto shroud dont mount up at all. Im gonna have to drill new ones. Kinda sucks.

My suspension has finally shipped and is on the way. Koni/gc with gc top hats. I didnt buy the lca’s i want yet, instead i got a stock set. I need to test to see the fitment of the usdm lca when swapping out the itr style lca. I plan on getting the function 7 but not until i know it fits.

I also ordered some regular maintenance stuff. Spark plugs and wires. The plug wires on there now are trashed. I went to take them out just to see and the boots on them are brittle and separated from the wire itself. Pretty bad. I also got a new set of tires on the way. Atr sport 123. They are a local favorite and highly recommended.

Once all this stuff gets here the car will be going through a pretty nice transformation. The bulk of everything i want has been ordered so the next big thing is paint and body. That will have to hold off until i get my second car. A mazda axela. I still have to get my front lip and my jdp carbon rear visor.

how come you dont buy parts in japan? i would think the parts would be better and cheaper than order from over sea?

one would think… da parts dont exist here so i have no choice but to order everything…

i also got a great deal on a set of rpf1’s with advan ad08s filled with nitrogen

hopefully its better than the megan one in my other da. it scrapes on my exhaust… a lot.

i was looking at the exhaust on this car and the only thing stock about it is the headers. theree a guy selling apexi headers on here. im really on the fence about getting them. the cat is some kind of aftermarket piece. not sure of the brand, there is just a jasma stamp on it and the stock heatshield is there too. there is a lot of space between the shifter and the cat so its shouldnt rub i hope. i may do the shifter this weekend along with the radiator and transmission fluid. it would be a nice way to spend a saturday or sunday afternoon i think…

3 of 4 shocks have arrived and the 4th shipped out friday. im still waiting on my ground controls… they should be here soon. the one thing about the shocks that i dont like is that they have an adjuster knob. its not like other shocks where its 1-5 or something… no no no. you just turn it and turn it and turn it with no indication as to what stiffness it is. im worried if i keep turning it i may mess them up.

im thinking if i keep turning it, it will eventually stop but im also worried, it may not and i will mess them up. anyone know how i set them to all be the same so i can make adjustments…

update for today…

so i contacted koni and the shocks ended up being defective and they are to replaced under warranty. all 4 of them… defective out of the box. whatever though…
moving on…

i polished my new tails and got them on. i didnt bleach them just because i forgot to buy some bleach and i said fuck it… they gotta come back off for paint time anyway, so i’ll just do it then.


i also got my mudflaps in. i painted them, sanded them, then painted them again. they came out pretty good but not as nice as i want. i may just go ahead and do them again when paint time comes around.

Hey are those rear lip/valances thingy on the rear bumper oem. I never seen those before.
