Old super street magazine article(yellow) 93 gsr

AAAHHHH yes, memories…I remember this issue to the date in September when the issue came out on the shelves, and Ontario & Sylmar was the place to be while the import scene was somewhat still “underground”…DAMN I’m getting old!

If I remember, that was Super Street’s 3rd or 4th issue, somebody correct me if I’m wrong. The DA was on the front cover in mid air, jumping from a tiny hill.

your right, but if im not mistaken this was the first super street issue.later.

if its a 93 gs-r isnt that a 90-91 rear bumper

I was about to make fun of that car, then I looked at the date. I’m sure that was all the rage back then.

Other than it being yellow, whats wrong with it?

^^
That’s what I was just thinking that car still looks dope as hell today as it did back then. I don’t mind the yellow either.

Humm…Yea! what’s to make fun of?
I wish I had those wheels and I bet he wish he had a OE1 or OE2 lip.
Love that 3 piece spoiler!

whats wrong with it? what, no cf hood, rotas, wakaba, and other jdm bullshit?
I wonder what yours looks like…

You are incorrect that’s a 92-93 rear bumper.

I remember that mag when it was in the store. Sick cover pic with it in the air. The car was sick back then and still looks good to me.

I’m entitled to my opinion. I don’t remember saying anything about rota’s or JDM parts. You sound more the the JDM fan-boy trying to bash someone just because they don’t agree with you :stfu:

I’d be more than happy to post pics of my GS-R, but thats off topic.

I’m not a fan of the yellow. The Spoiler is fugly. Paint match mouldings/lip but unpainted rear flaps? And I never liked driving/fog lights on a G2.

About the only things I do like are the suspension, wheels and exhaust.

I’m not saying I dont have respect for what the guy did, I’m just not feeling the look

That car IMO is one of the select few DA’s out there that should be the poster child for what a DA should look like. Absolutely, hands down beautiful.:up::jerkoff::hump:

After looking at it more, I like how he doesnt have one peice’s. The divider lines add definition to the front. The corner light on the headlights have paint matched yellow which flows wonderfully with it. It also looks to have the brake lights yellow tinted where the white reverse was, which also flows well. Not having the flaps painted keeps everythign from blending together on the exterior. And someone correct me if I am wrong, but that is a HIRO wing from the looks of it, and at the time this was printed probably is an original, not a knock off like the ones you find this day and age.

Sorry, that is not a Hiro wing. The Hiro wing is one piece and looks nothing like that.

I think that is a Wings West 3 piece spoiler, the wheels are 16" Racing Hart Type-C mesh 3 piece design also.

ahhh memories. i think i still have that issue in my box of magazines

damn i’m old.

haha I remember when if your car looked like that you were the king shit. Bad old days for the win.

That car is clean. And clean never gets old.

Dayum i remember that article. one the influences for buying my DA
