Old super street magazine article(yellow) 93 gsr
I’m not a fan of the yellow. The Spoiler is fugly. Paint match mouldings/lip but unpainted rear flaps?
What DA have you ever seen with paint matched mud flaps?

And I never liked driving/fog lights on a G2.
Shit son. If you didn’t have PIAAs and a Fuba in the mid 90’s, your opinion means nothing to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t. But it’s an after market paint job. May as well have them hit the mud flaps too

Haha, oh man Fuba antennas. Forgot about those.

LOL, I installed a Fuba when I got the car painted. I bought PIAA 1400s but never installed them . They are still in my garage in the box. I still roll on 17 inch TSW EVO’s.

paint matched mudflaps would look retarded.

Yeah, save the money by shaving the rear squirter with the Fuba.

If you’ve never seen it, then how would you know? :goyou:

That car is sweet.

It was back in the day and it still is today looking back on it.

And the color is awesome.

I agree with whoever said paint matches flaps would look stupid.

I have seen it before morAn. Guess what, it looked retarded.

not only do they look wee-todd-id, but they chip and flake off easily.

kosuko cars back in the day were all pretty clean, this DA and RJ’s, and numerous other cars.
thats an AMS wing btw

and he most likely doesnt have 1 pic headlights because they’d cost close to $600 back then, and c’mon… according to the article he didnt have his mom and dad pay for his shit!!

about yellow DA’s, They always have a special place in my heart because if it weren’t for one of them, I prolly wouldn’t be as hardcore a DA fanatic as I am today.

that Kosuko one was nice at the top, but IMO SSC outdid them with this back in 96.

my inspiration… and favorite DA of all time

Not even VTEC?

The only thing I don’t like, are the driving lights. Otherwise I’d drive it…sort of “bright” but otherwise, clean. And that is definitely a 90-91 bumper…but who says you can’t mix and match?

Which car are you referring to Breezer?
The 2nd car posted is a little to simple, sorta too plane. If that was the goal, then he scored!
The 1st car posted is more my style. I think he did the best that he could have done with what was available back then.

A little off topic:
What I don’t understand is this. Why is taking a trim level like a GS-R, stripping the interior out, removing the rear shield wiper, removing the automatic seat belts, removing the trunk spoiler, ABS, PS, A/C and then label the look JDM? Is that honestly what they do to Integras in Japan?
Do they take a no frills Integra and add all the stuff most here in the USA takes off and call it USDM?
I’m just curious.
I understand what the term “clean” mean, I’m just skuntfused on the term “JDM”

It’s called overused and misused terminology. It originally meant nothing more than Japanese Domestic Market. Like 1 piece headlights were actually made for use in Japan, so they are actually JDM. With the current misuse of the term as a style, it is about as definable as the term “rice.” Most of the cheap fiberglass bodykits that people label as “rice” are based off of original designs from Japan… so, go figure. At this point in time, if someone likes something, they call it “JDM.” If they don’t, they call it “rice.” Also, you don’t see a whole lot of people modifying Integras in Japan at this point - most of them are being crushed, exported, or chopped up for parts.

So JDM in today’s terminology would mean,“I like it”?

I noticed that the Japanese “scene” does not revolve around, over powered front wheel drive cars. I guess that’s why Integras and such are crushed, exported, or chopped up for parts and used to exploit the JDM fan boys.
Question; if money is not an issue, how do you level the playing field?
I don’t JDM it one bit!

The article that Viprtwo posted is the reason why I still have my DA. In fact, its “The” car that I’ve been trying to replicate. Love that car. I also remember that issue having an ad for “Jaknife Wheels”. To this day I still cant find those wheels.

Jaknife F25?

Whoever coined the term “JDM” is a moron anyway. It’s subjective. I’ve seen plenty of UGLY a$$ “JDM” cars out there. Have you seen some of these Bomex kits with Lambo doors? If I saw a Skyline and it had Lambo doors and a “JDM” hotpink paintjob and was all stickered out, I’d say JDM. “Just Dumb Man…”

I just prefer clean, tasteful mods that allow us to stay true to the roots of the car and keep the body lines clean and simple.

Why does your username have “JDM” in it then?
