Rotaries was hitting 12’s back in 2000. My friend Aleem, Tony, Romeo, Joe, Papie, Anthony and Gennie all drove low 12’s street cars in full trim. All RX-7’s of course with the exception for Gennie, who had a Miata with a FD single turbo motor in it. In 2003, all of these guys made it into the 11’s and High 10’s.
I can’t remember having fear of any other types of cars back then.
The only race a rotary wouldn’t run is top end against a Supra.

rotaries were in another league… hondas were not running 12’s in full street trim in 95. those guys in NY running the mile were in a totally differet league as well… thats one of the reasons hondas always got clowned on

I remember being in Jr High and Wanting either a rotary powered 510 Wagon(2600lb wagon whats not to love?) or a yellow civic hatch with a feels wide body kit, dumped on Racing heart C5’s
I still have this issue. I was a sophmore in High School when this came out and was one of the major factors why I got my 92 GS. Sadly I sold my GS in college regretting it everday since. Now I am just getting back into the game building/restoring a 91 LS. I wish I could go back to the day I sold my GS and stop myself from letting it go. For whatever reason, I can’t seem to bring myself to throw away this issue.
damn this is old, I was a junior in HS, I remember I got my first integra, a 92 ls 3 monthes before this issue came out, I didn’t start buying superstreet till feb of 98 though.
