You don’t have to be a “DA fanatic” to be here. Don’t generalize.
There are people who are here to help out who don’t even have a DA or is a fanatic. Ex. FCM, who has provided countless tech info on electronics, and I’m sure many would not like to see him gone just because he isn’t a “DA fanatic”.
Riiiight. I’m here because of my Datsun 510. Screw the Nissan forums right? Must be why I frequent the Laker forums to get info on the Devil Rays:werd:
As for “FCM” don’t know who that is, but I think it’s great that he offers good insight and tech related support. Big ups! I don’t even know him and I don’t want to see him go.
You are a DA fanatic (or at least a fair weathered fan) if you’re here. Bottom line. If you’re not, you must a internet superhero coming to the aid of enthusiasts for a forum that is specific and tailored to a certain year(s) Make, Model and Trim. 90-93 Acura Integra. Not a EF, DC AE86 or even a S14. Interesting.
back on topic… i just ran a 13.7 (same as tony fuchs on NOS) at BOTI in street trim, and I saw Archie Medrazo (is that how you spell his last name?) in the next lane pull a 12.80 (same as JR Asperer on SOHC turbo)
so funny that if you ran that back in 1995 we would be all motor gods!!! to to mention honda drag race gods… now you need a 9-10 second run just for someone to turn their head in your direction
Dope stuff. Let me see. I ran 14.9 @ terminal island. I soooo miss that place. Brotherhood raceway was the bomb and alternative to Gardena, Ontario and Sylmar.
I actually can say that I killed Stephan Papadakis in his Black EF in my DA HAHAHA. I was rocking a Lightspeed header, RC Throttle Body and my Ultraflow exhaust and lets not forget my HKS powerflow.
BTW, I think Archie and the rest of the Split Second Racing/Lokwerkz guys will be at the EF/DA meet (Ricky and Ronnies).
All we need now is for Legends and MID to throw another party for old time sakes and play Rump Shaker & Tennessee All I wanna do is zoom zoom zoom:rockon:
yes it was. Not to mention painting that trim inside the gauge cluster white and rewiring the dimmer lights to a bright amber or someother color.
Oh can’t forget about the toggle switch for the amber taillights!
WOW! ^Collectors item there! That is for sure memories of Tony Fuch’s DA back in 1994/95. That was the same year Frank Choi imported a blue Nissan Skyline R32 for display at the Battle of the Imports in Palmdale. I had no clue what it was and didn’t really care until HKS put their black Skyline on the track. The same year, Frank broke the attendance record for BOTI at L.A County Raceway and it was shoulder-to-shoulder out there. Damn it was hot that day.
Funny thing, my neighbor, Paul Ferraer, was one of the first back in ‘95, to turbo his red DA and went out to Palmdale, and ran a 15. Me and the boys were clownin’ cause he spent all that money just to run 15s, but later his tuner came out with the DA, and ran a low 13, and that made us shut the F%&k up.

haha I remember that. or the homemade vtec switches so we could activate anytime we wanted before the Buddyclub vcon and etc where around or thought off. I remember making my first short ram intake from a piece of 3" exhaust pipe and a cone filter. Dryer duct was our friend when it came to a ram air/cold air setup. Also cant forget that if you couldnt afford a exhaust you either bought glass back cherry bombs or drilled holes in your muffler or just plain cut it off. Well atleast thats how it was up here lol.
13’s were fast when?
Rotaries was hitting 12’s back in 2000. My friend Aleem, Tony, Romeo, Joe, Papie, Anthony and Gennie all drove low 12’s street cars in full trim. All RX-7’s of course with the exception for Gennie, who had a Miata with a FD single turbo motor in it. In 2003, all of these guys made it into the 11’s and High 10’s.
I can’t remember having fear of any other types of cars back then.
The only race a rotary wouldn’t run is top end against a Supra.
Fountain Ave, Brooklyn NY.
big jim… thats ron bergenholtz’ DA not tony’s… tony’s was never black… it was white.
btw, do you guys remember that DA on the first drag turbo kit?? it was black on 17" work equips… that thing was sick dude
My Bad, yeah you’re right on that, Tony’s DA was white with the green Bullfrog sponsorship! JDMBeef24, I’ll get at ya bout Paul on your email later this weekend. Small world and L.A is soo BIG.
haha…painted mud flaps. I’ve seen a couple of those…and with it the paint that chipping off it like crazy. Unless your running a HARD plastic mudflaps like on newer cars that you don’t intend to scrap then by all means paint, but considering the majority of people here that have a lowered integra yea…it’s going to scrap on something, that and the mudflap is a flexable rubber.
I scrap my mudflaps all the time on speed bumps, knowing how much that thing flexs and scraps yea…painting something like that is retarded, Im sorry. If you want to go ahead and waste your money cause you think it’s cool by all means do so, heh.
