i need to know if anyone has any experience with these items and if anyone thinks some of these are bad ideas… btw ill be running stock internals in the beginning until i save up more money for changing internals. i havent bought anything yet and i just want to know if there are certain things to avoid.
-ill be getting the log manifold kit from spooling performance: manifold, downpipe, dumptube
-walbro fuel pump 255
-where can i get dsm 450cc injectors?
-wastegate i dont know what and where and for how much to get?
Number one RULE never buy CAR PARTS OFF EBAY!!!
Buy from a shop, Spoolin Performance has some good buys but you have to do research I don’t know why you would want a civic radiator your stock one will work fine
get a tial wastegate i think 38mm is what I have on my t3/t4 setup but just remember that you need your ecu tuned otherwise it won’t run at its max performance
depending on the placemrnt of the wastgate off the manifold will determine if you will need the civic radiator. I personaly wouldnt get a radiator off of ebay, especially if its $3.98. Honda OEM radiators use plastic endtanks and tenk to leak from the space between the plastic and metal casing of the radiator.
actually, that intercooler piping kit looks pretty good. if its a genuine GReddy BOV, i might say go ahead on that one.
civic radiator is not needed. and i wouldn’t trust buying a turbo off of ebay unless it was a private seller. most “companies” on eBay sell cheap shit turbos. if it was a private seller, he/she would most likely be selling a decent turbo.
it solely depends on the turbo manifold, turbo and down pipe you intend to use. those would be the components that would cause clearance issues. some companies make thinner radiators and fans too, but i’m not sure on their cooling abilities. you’ll just have to do some test fitting first. because you may not need them at all.
scratch the last question… i have a new one lol… would a 2.36" diameter exhuast (catback) be ok for a turbo set up of around 300 hp? if its probably a better idea to go with 2.5" exhaust are there any quality cat-back systems out there? i saw the ebay ones but i want a canister style one that comes out of the stock location.
I have a slim fan on my stock rad. and it runs great
I also am using a 2.36" cat back and it works fine but if your looking to do 300hp I would go with 2.5" exhaust, I pesonally like the RSR GTII exhaust because it is one of the only exhausts that is not a sideways muffler.
the straighter the pipe = more power
I am pushing 170hp to the wheels and have a hard time getting traction so I would look into a LSD or a YS1 tranny if you want the 300hp to go anywhere
All turbos that are made for the B series with start to boost between 2.5-3.5rpm
I have a t3/t4 and it boosts at 3000rpm
yea im going to get an lsd once i have to get my transmission out for changing the clutch once i wear it out. i was looking at the skunk 2 exhaust… does it exit in the stock location or on the right? anyone know?
ive just got one question. i want to retain p/s but i am removing a/c. i want to keep a full size radiator. what options do i have for the ic piping. i was thinking of relocating the windshield washer fluid reservoir like the turbo guide says but im not 100% sure that there is enough room while still having the p/s. Anyone know the facts?
