photoged for my roommate’s gf’s b-day dinner. I was DD so i was able to drive my other roommate’s Subie Legacy Spec B. my gosh the gears are long in that car…longer than my LS transmission.
these were taken with a DIY internal flash bounce made from a business card. Turned out pretty well IMO. next to buy is 580exII.
but it was basically a UCI library print card that i made little cuts in to fit into the guide “rails” for the pop up internal flash. lol i can get pics of it when i get back home. i did get a few WTF looks at the restaurant though. but, the results don’t lie.
edit: some of them i feel are underexposed or towards the dark side. I had to up the exposure 1/2 stop on some and do a little burning in post processing. But other than that it wasn’t too bad.
Yeah, but with an even light you can fix that easily in PS. The uneven light you get from a non-bounced flash is a pain in the ass to deal with. plus all the forehead glares and what not.
Babak, thanks for the link. I did a quick test with that and it worked great. Of course now that I’m picking up a 480EXII in a couple weeks I learn that trick.

you mean the 430 (or 20) right? Or did canon ever make a 480?
I’ve used the mirror trick but didn’t quite work for me. But I’m getting the 430 soon.[/QUOTE]
i have the 430 and i love it. ill probably add a 580ex2 soon just because of the extra power and ability to be a master to my slave 430. i have a stofen omnibounce and it works great.
The 430 is perfect as a first purchase. I’m ganna wait at least a year before getting the 580 and I’m using the money I’m saving to complete my wireless setup.
