Life

nice pics! What lens do you use again? I’m thinking of picking up a 7D when the funds are available…which probably wont be for another 6 months to a year…perhaps an 8D or whatever comes next then.

i spy a dust spot on the sensor.

For the on-track shots, I’m using a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. My friend lets me borrow this lens and his 1D MkIII when I go to the track. I also carry around my XSi with 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM for shots off the track.

I’m probably going up there again on July 31st, but this time I’m going to rent a 1.4x extender to give me more range on the 70-200. Should make for some better head on shots.

I know. :frowning:

It’s not on my camera, though. It’s on my friend’s camera and it annoys the hell out of me, especially when I take shots with high aperture.

Anyone out there have any good tips on how to remove sensor dust without sending it in for cleaning?

A lot of people swear by the ‘Copper Hill method’.

Good read:

I’m about to order some sensor cleaning supplies myself.

The local camera shop here will clean your sensor while you wait, and they don’t charge if you bought the body from them so speaking of that, I need to take the 5D in, it’s has a lot of small spots.

a couple from yesterday.

Clean pics. Is that you’re son or some random kid?

I’m pretty sure he, and the rest of his coast guard crew, are about to rescue that poor soul from whatever is on the other end of that line.

lmao…

That’s my son.
