yeah, but your 24mm is equivalent to a 15mm on a crop body. I would personally be hesitant to use my 17mm, unless it was a large room.
Frozenrice, a hot shoe flash is totally different than the traditional on camera flash you’re thinking of. You can get a very natural look out of it if you use it right.
