ill let you know this weekend if ebay is the wrong way to boost, getting my kit installed :x
ive some mixed feelins about this kit. i only thing ive heard wrong is the welding on the pipes. i know some people have them on here. i just wanna see how long it held up.
post some pics up this weekened. which kit did you end up gettin?
I’m just messing. :shy:
I don’t really like the idea of purchasing a “kit”, but choosing the parts to use in certain forced induction application.

well i know that ll turbos are made from “garret” so at least the turbo will hold up as for the manifold thats what i wanna hear and see some input.
the problem is that those kits are so universal, that you have trouble installing them on a G2 which is so different from most of the other hondas, if you had an EG civic, that kit would go in with no hassle, your gunna run into some bumps in the road putting that thing together.
they have kits made for the g2
show me this “garret” turbo
99% its chinese shit in one way or another
doesnt mean it wont work
just chinese shit
:salute:
I paid $5 on ebay for a manual that showed you how to make a better turbo setup for less money and more reliable. I wish I still had it, it was on my old computers hard drive that crashed last year. But basically you can build it yourself by spending the time and locating all the appropriate pieces. The benefit of buying a SSautochrome package is exactly that, its already to go. But in this guide that I had, it basically tells you to go to the scrap yard and locate a decent factory exhaust manifold, a good turbo from any different vehicle such as the Merkur X4RTI, the Saab 900 or 9000 Turbo, or many others. The guide tells you what to look for to make sure the turbo is still working.
Basically by doing all the legwork yourself, you can quite possibly build a good setup for $500.
It was similiar to what this guy is selling:
garret internals…all turbos are built by garret if im not mistaken.
Thats a lie, they want you to believe that there are garrett internals for better sales. They know that people that buy the product will never find out.
show me. find me an ebay kit SPECIFICALLY made for a G2
you certainly are mistaken!
kit plans? that crap is free. www.homemadeturbo.com to start. www.evans-tuning.com
please don’t be an idiot and buy an ebay kit. this has been covered a million times all over the internet. search google for ssautochrome.
if you don’t have the money for a shiny new quality kit, it takes research and time to learn to piece one together. do the smart thing and buy and read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.
i’m sick of seeing this crap and people getting ripped off because they don’t know any better, from low life, greedy bastards taking advantage of the public. no more of this ebay crap, period.
1 slo Gizzer : I got the XS power kit
…yeah Matt. I told you SSAC makes the XS Power kit. I showed you the picture on ebay, well you showed it to me and I said that was the one I had.
didnt know there would be so much negative response.
i just thought that all turbos were made by the same people or the internals at least. im not sayin im right because im obvisouly wrong.
mattv-let me know how the kit fits.
I had my car apart to clear out the bumper the IC / ITM piping fits perfect right past the battery as well, the IC fits with the two A/C lines by the grill removed, im getting a non aggressive body kit so the cut up bumper will be replaced.
drag had a g2 teg kit years ago, im going to guess they still have it. worst ic piping design i may have ever seen. they want it to be bolt on, rather than having to relocate your battery.
