Pics of my Full-Race Setup!

The car is fast enough with the high power and I like the way it looks. I might trade off for a thermal when I restart the entire project. For right now I am concerned more about getting the body work done and adding some FAL and VIS pieces to unsettle the outside of the car. No bodykits, just a nice OEM CF hood and CF lip. Ill most likely only do the quarter windows with the FAL’s for sheer bling factor. Thanks for the compliments guys.

Sry to bring back old thread, But what A/R did you choose for the turbine, .63? And did you choose toe 4" or 2.75" inlet. Also, does it look like this?

That’s weird tho. everywhere I look for a GT3071R it shows the pic I posted first, then the noe you ahve everywhere shows it’s teh GT30R? Where did you get it? I want anti-surge housing :frowning: and it seems eveyrwhere I look at the GT3071R eitehr on ATPturbo or full race, cheapturbo etc etc, it doesn’t coem in the anti surge. Only the GT30R etc do.

At the time I ordered my GT30R, it was only offered in the .82 or 1.06…I ended up with the .82. Pics:

It was actually my mistake. The turbo is a GT3037 AKA the GT30R. The only difference between the one I have and the new ones from garrett is they are offered with a 4-bolt 2.5" to 3.0" exhaust housing transducer. Where as mine was just a 2.5" 4-bolt housing. I know ATP turbo has a 5-bolt housing option which I would recomend because the transducer from the new 4-bolt adds about 2" off of the exhuast housing which can make for clearence problems and so forth. As for the size, I have a .82. Sorry for all of the confussion.

very clean, and by the way it looks, it’s not for someone like me. im probrably one of the home-made turbo guys u speak of. hahaha. your setup is super clean.

the a/c core, it’s a pain in the ass to remove if u ever plan to.

by chance, do u remember or know how much just the chargepiping cost you? and what size piping is that? 2.25"?

You Said It Was Gsr You Had Right, So You Allready Had The Vtec Harness And Vtec Set Up. I Have A Gs Non Vtec If I Go This Route With A Vtec Conversion I Need To Get Harness And Ecu And Xtras Right

I believe he stuck with his GSR cable tranny. You don’t need a new harness for wirring Vtec, jsut run the 4 new wires.

You can just buy a conversion harness; and convert to obd1 :slight_smile:

TYPE NASTY TEG - Trans is the original YS1 cable trans with all new case bearings and syncros from honda. I had 180,000 miles on that trans so it was time for a fresh start minus the cases and diff (+phantom grip) which are still in great condition. The ECU is the stock unit running NepTune EMS. My harness is untouched besides the cleaning of it that was done while the engine was removed.

tegboi - All of the intercooler piping is made from stainless steel and is 2.5" in diameter. Jeff Evans of Evans tuning did the welding. For the cost of materials and his fabrication time I’d say it cost about $600 to do. All the welds are beautiful and was well worth the money. I don’t really plan on removing the evaporator core for the A/C but thanks for the heads up.

my z-10 setup gives me MORE clearence than the stock x-member. it gets a big :up: from me.

I’ve heard good things about the Z-10 set-up. But, Hondatec38 = Full-Race whore.

how much PSi are you running with the stock block…My Ls will soon be going LS-T but i dont want to make a monster …looking to utilize as many stock components as possible and seeing is how u have a stock bottom end, how reliable would you say the set up is?

What 1/4 times are you running? trap speed?

2 and 1/4 exhuast and B16 cams. Plus that turbo doesn’t really wake up till one bar anyway. Low 13’s @ 115mph w/2.3 60’ s. Drag radials and a retune comming soon (built the block).

9psi and very reliable. But it’s all torn appart because I’m doing Full-Race rods and CP pistons right now. Along with alot of other things I need to tidy up.

whats a low 13?

DR’s are also my next mod. I suspect I’d pull a 2.3 60’ on my current tires too. :tsk:
