Well, with the nitrous it makes sense to run a colder plug. I still don’t think 2 steps colder is necessarily needed, but it wouldn’t hurt. Generally you are only gonna run a colder plug with things that would increase combustion temperatures. (ie higher compression, greater timing advance, leaner a/f ratios, boost, etc.) If a car is relative stock or just all bolt ons, I wouldn’t usually worry about running a colder plug.
Well when you put it that way it makes a lot more sense lol That being said though is there really any negative effects to running them when stock? You say wouldn’t worry about it but is there any side effects to look for?
UPDATES!!! So after my little fender bender I had to get my headlight fixed so that I would have working headlight again. Lucky for me a friend had a spare set from his old DA laying in the shed so I didn’t have to pay anything. Unfortunately though the fog light wiring was cut and I now don’t have them. O well I don’t use em anyways so no big deal. Also my old clear corners where with the headlights to so I didn’t have to get those either. I was Winning! left and right. Then last since the factory bumper lights are clear all you have to do is pull the amber reflector out and they look nice. Problem is in Va your turn signals and parking lights have to be amber in the front so I switched out the bulbs with amber and good to go. Well onto my pictures.
Here the “new2me” lights!
Good and broke wouldn’t ya think?
Rusted in bolt had to be broken off to get light off
Headlight finally removed!
Everything so broken and destroyed
My buddy Larry doing all the switching around of parts while I was wiring up a radio for a friends Civic.
Switching out driver side corner
Bolting everything back together
Headlights in and working as they should minus fog lights
Me trying to figure out why fog lights don’t work
Alright so last of the updates aren’t anything amazing but still updates none the less . . .
First battery died last week and had to spend money on that
Second at work a CRV came into the shop with a fucked up timing belt. Instead of putting a new one on and seeing if the motor would run or not they sold the customer a new(used) motor. So guess who got to keep the old one . . . THIS GUY!!!
Sheered off teeth on timing belt
All the switching of parts and such since my manager thought it would be a great idea to use a JDM motor so we had to switch manifolds, distributor, and oil pump :bang:
Third and final update is over the past couple years I been getting into the whole funny sticker craze going on. Honda Day, Import Alliance, etc. I hit the sticker booths and what ever they have I find humerus enough I buy. So here’s what I got collected so far and what I decided to put on the Integra. The rest are saved for my Prelude. Sure some think it’s lame but guess what . . . My car so fuck off ha ha ha ha
I’m liking the sticker bomb craze. Shows some personality.
Thank ya sir appreciate the kind words
Alright so now that my DD Prelude is assembled and baby safe I can focus on the DB build up. For now here are some basic updates. Let me know what ya think!
The one’s I don’t have pictures of are the B20 is sold and wont be being used. Transmission is with my trans guy and I’m probably going to buy a different exhaust because the 2nd hand DC Sports exhaust I purchased doesn’t line up very well and I rather not hack it up.
First my BMW Bottle caps. 14x6 with some 185/60’s until I can get my 195’s ordered. Friend of mine did the painting and also my obd2 valve cover.
And the valve cover!
And then the exhaust!
So I had a couple coolant leaks and wanted to hook my heater core back up cause it was cold as hell outside. Me being the anal guy that I am about my baby I went straight across the street to Acura and purchased both heater core hoses and radiator hoses plus all clamps brand new. Looks great, seals perfect, and still have a leak somewhere because I can smell it!!! Well since I’m not driving it right now I’m not worried about it but it’s tiring chasing this smell down. Plus a fuel smell I noticed last time I was under it as well. Also my blower motor went bad so I had to replace that so new cowl seals are on order and this time the motor has a lifetime warranty.
Another quick update I had some old steel wheel center caps from the gold painted steels I used to have on the car. I kept them when I got rid of the steels and used a wire brush wheel to get the paint off and shine them up a bit. Popped them in the wheels and think they really heled thewheels pop a little more. What ya think? Also as a joke my old roommate got me a few cans to get started blacking the car so it’ll be all one color instead of the 4 that it is now.
