VTEC is hard to hear as the IABs aren’t working, so you can’t hear the changeover as well as you normally would, but trust me, it’s there
Also, doesn’t help that my friend’s Droid pics up SO MUCH wind noise it makes hearing anything altogether, difficult. lol
When I do a cam swap, I’m going to install a Skunk2 manifold. Won’t do all of that until I’m ready to have the ECU chipped (likely going Hondata) and tuned, so I can play with VTEC activation points. When I do the manifold swap, I’ll probably start with an ITR basemap and go from there at the tuner’s. I MIIIIIIIIGHT have this all done by the East Coast Honda Meet.
Its a JDM GSR swap, and you don’t hear Vtec, its the butterfly you hear…lol And it dose indeed engage and you can hear it if you wore in the car,i just don’t have a loud as hell muffler.
Check out my first video,it shows the walk around.
i notice in the video that you have a LS transmission… i can tell because of the shift points and the rpm that it leaves you at. its good that you want to do the skunk 2 manifold and cams… but if you want real results you need a transmission swap. ls tranny makes the gsr seem slow and slugish… if you have a closeratio b16 trans like the ys1 in the 92 93 gsr… it will give your car new life and accelerarion will go through the roof =)
Who me??? I have the 94 gsr swap with the gsr transmission with LSD.
EDIT: NVM,i never showed my dash.lol
lol yeah not you 91_ls i was talking about the guy who started the tread. =) but hey what kind of gsr transmission do you have? the DB2 or the DC2? im just curious… if you have the dc2 did you use the hasport conversion kit?
Its the 94 DC 5 speed LSD with the hydro conversion kit on it. Pulls nice and strong. How would i know if its the DC2 or DB2?? Thought there all the same?
