Got a killer deal on ebay for the battery. Placement was my second choice.

gotta say that’s mighty slick
Might wanna cover that positive battery terminal so you dont cause a short.
Is that battery smaller than the stock one? Looks small to me… nice and slick lookin’ though…
thanks ya’ll. Good advice, but I think I’ll be Ok since its all very secure and the car’s not a DD. The battery is a 15lb just like the hawker odyssey.
I’ve got an Odyssey PC680 mounted directly below the stock location on the inside of the frame. Its mounted right under the DC2 intake box and you can barely see it.
mmtegra - running a manual power switch also? did you splice into the original wire, or did you make the new terminals & split the wire into 2 for the starter & fuse box?
No manual cutoff switch, but the terminal bolts have welded wingnuts which make for a quick disconnect. Basically I wanted to be able to remove the battery quickly without any tools so it can serve as an extra security layer. The power wire runs to an aftermarket fuse box in the engine bay, which then splits to the starter, all upgraded wires.
is that an odyssey battery? whether or not it is, are they a dry cell or gel type like the optima battery? cuz if not, then that wouldn’t exactly be safe being inside the cabin area of a da. i dont know much about the odyssey batteries, aside from them being smaller and slimmer, and maybe having less cca’s.
pwjdm does make some pretty nice odyssey relocator kits, but they cost a pretty penny. could prolly make something similar for a lot less.

im thinkin of moving my battery to under the pass side of the side of the bumper and run a set of remote battery terminals so incase i have a dead battery i can still jump it i think that it would be ok there and get it out of the way so i dont have to move it into the back of the car or on the engine side of the frame. what do you guys think thought it might be a cool idea
thanks

Search around quite a few people that have done full wire tucks relocate the battery to the wheel well like that using the pwjdm kit or similar and yeah remote terminals are nice to have
Wheelwell tuck:
Won’t the battery explode if there’s a car accident that involves the front if it’s relocated lower near the fender?
Custom bracket mount. Not really a true relocation, but still.
Up, just wanted to see others’ set-ups…
^^^I just picked up a Taylor as well. I haven’t taken it out of the box yet. Do you have any other pictures of how you installed it? I’m concerned about how it’s secured to the trunk floor. Specifically where the holes are drilled and how to weatherproof them so it doesn’t rust.
