I’d suggest to anyone in the market for a catback to just do themselves a favor and get the Hks… I’m an Hks whore, but it’s for good reason… G3 Integra guys have a lot of choices… G2 guys have maybe 5 good choices… I for one like the cannister style, and for my money you can’t beat the Hks… My friend has a Tanabe catback in mint condition for sale… If you’re from Mn or Wi and are interested, reply in this thread and I’ll get you some info… He’s only looking for 300 and it’s in 9/10 shape

The RS*R concept is better design then the HKS and is also canister. It is 2.5" also.
The rs*r concept may be better, but it’s not as easy to obtain one as the Hks… I picked up my brand new Hks for 495 shipped… Some sites want almost 200 more than that… I sold my Rsr Exmag for 360, so I basically got the Hks for Under 150 out of pocket… I paid 600 for my last Hks on my previous DA, and I couldn’t be happier with either of the purchases… Deals are great, but once someone has an Hks on a g2 the only reason they would sell it is if they go turbo and need bigger piping

people are entitled to there own opinion!!! :giggle: me personaly i dont like the hks or the skunk 2 exhaust because they sound to raspy and there over rated and over priced . my exhaust isnt loud and gets the job done on the performance part. just because the exhaust doesnt have a name brand stamped on it doesnt mean it sounds like crap :roll:
actually, you might actually be hurting your exhaust system if your pipes aren’t mandrel bent. if it crush bent, you are probably not gaining any power at all. The HKS Hiper actually has gains, Mandrel Bent, Straight flowing exhaust, and has great sound, it’s not raspy to me at all, it’s actually not that loud for a straight through exhaust system compared to others i have heard.

the hyper medallion is very quiet, you can’t even hear it in higher rpm. It sounds like it turns off or something, you hear it more in lower rpm though

My AN-R, kteller, hks set up sounds pretty mean.
Skunk2 sounds good, rsr gt2 sounds damn nice… all are canister types. It all depends on the type of piping you use.

you’re right, good piping makes a difference. I just hate when people don’t run a cat with a cheap canister muffler, sounds soooooooo nasty

I do…its really quiet at low rpms, and during the vtec crossover til redline, the intake noise takes over.

I had a HKS Hi Power first gen, with a gutted cat. I traded with my bro for his Monza exhaust (dont EVA buy that crap). The only reason why i did that, b/c i was driving on the high way a quite bit, and the HKS with a gutted cat, is droning period. I felt like i was gonna go crazy! LOL! But im in the process of getting a new axle back to replace the shiity monza muffler.
