A soundclip can’t capture how sweet an hks sounds, especially on a car that’s like 50 or 100 feet ahead of you on the hwy at full throttle… It can’t be beat!
Mine has an issue now though, the tip is resting against the edge of the bumper cutout and rattling when it idles… I need to adjust the hanger a tiny bit… It seemed to fit better on my 90 than my 93… And yes I have the right one for the 93 since the 90-91 and 92-93 are different… Oh well, small price to pay for a baller exhaust… Piping is SMALL though, so I can’t see anyone who is trying to make big power using this system. I have my DA for one purpose… 30 miles a gallon and riding low and slow
Yeah I know what you mean. HKS is very different sounding. I have never had a complaint other than the sound level. Im still rocking stock header though. I’ve had my HKS for almost 2 years now, and mines showing very little rust, and fitment is pretty amazing.
I wish the g2 slanted out the passenger side like the g3 does… But the Hks looks pretty sweet for what it is… If only it was all stainless steel piping and like 2.5"

2.14 inch if I remember correctly. The only thing it’s not going to be awesome for is turboing the car, but even then it should be OK for smaller turbos although you might lose a bit of spool time. If you are staying NA the pipe size is pretty much right where it should be, I strongly believe that 2.5" is too large a diameter for our engines.
2.25" piping to a j’s racing replica turn down muffler, also a newer cat off a 2000 si if that makes a difference, stock header and aem short ram. sounds real mellow and deep with normal driving. once you get on it it gets loud but not annoying buzzing loud.

Yes it can be beat.
I had the HKS Hi-power before, I loved it. I love my new exhaust even more. Imagine an amplified version of it.
