IMO anything 8000k and over is pointless and visibility sucks in the rain. I went with 6000k and kinda wish I had gone 4300k, but they still look good and are a definite upgrade from stock. I want to do a retrofit, but don’t have the time, no how or $$.
You need a clear lense bro. Looks like a good job, but the fluted lense kills it. Im planning on using FX Bi-Xenons and a 5-6000k kit in some ebay headlights with modified corners.

If you don’t mind me askin, What does the modified corners look like?
I’ve been tryn to figure out how to change the look of my EGAy headlights corners for the longest! They suck so bad. I feel it brings down the overall look of the the headlights IMO…
4300k is a perfect way too go. Right amount of blue in the headlights, excellent amount of white light on the road.
yeah but it will blind other people. if you wanna warn other drivers use your fogs. not sure what flash to pass means, but im sure there are other ways of doing it.
true, we could use our fogs because they can look like high beams.
as far as blinding other people, its no different with HID highs or halogen high beams. both are pretty darn bright, but youre not going to be blinding anyone if used properly.
In CA high beams are supposed to be in use at ALL times unless it’s unsafe (i forget the exact distances, i think it’s like a vehicle 600 ft in front coming towards you, or 200 ft in front in the same direction). at least this is what i was taught in driving school. obv i dont follow this rule to the t.
i specifically got a “bi-xenon” 9004 hi/low kit w/ a solenoid actuated bulb. it has come in handy the other day flashing a jogger running in my lane with her back towards me a few hundred feet ahead. i dont think flashing my fogs would have gotten her attention, because they’re pointed to the ground.
edit: flash to pass comes in handy when you’re following a slow driver. Flashing indicates you’d like to pass.

Once i get it all straightened outand finished up ill post pics to show you.
those of you guys running HID foglights in jdm one pieces…how are you guys doing it…I cant find a way to use HIDs unless I cut a hole in the top foglight cover to have the wires pass thru…if you guys can post some pics or info that would be awesome
finally settled for some 6k! I cannot be any happier with the results.
The only down side to the HID and JDM 1-pc project was the alignment of the headlight for the passenger side. (I accidentally broke off one of the corner tabs that connects to the hole for the corner light side) The bumper might not be sitting right as well…
And I’m getting a ORANGE hue for one of the fogs :bawl:
I will post pics later. Any suggestions on how to remedy that situation? Currently running Nokya Yellow H3.

There is a yellow cover over the fog light, and it probably has some scum on it. I have taken apart several one pieces and all of them had dirty yellow covers on the fogs. I bought a new set of covers for my current lights from a member on here. Here is a link to some.
