Can a stock JDM B20b handle more psi than a B18a considering that its a newer engine and will more than likely have less miles?
Depends on the health of the motor. Low milage doesn’t neccesarily mean good health. A B20 in the same condition as a B18A/B can not take any more boost than the B18A/B.
As far as I have seen a B18 seems to be able to handle more boost than a B20, but, it depends on the tuning.
…at the same boost levels and setup etc, how much more HP will the b20 put out compared to a b18? maybe it won’t handle as much stock to stock but i’m sure you’ll get out bigger HP numbers with the extra displacement.

I could answer this if I had my book that had all the specs for the Honda motor. But the book is at home, so I can’t…I’ll have an answer in about a week…
I would greatly appreciate that! thanks:D
b20 at 10lbs fully done up on the mods list.
300whp
blew up on the dyno. -stock sleeved.
i dont know if this helps but more than like 7psi would be asking alot of a stock b20 for longevity i think.
I guess it all depends on how good of a tuner you are or how much you trust yours.
I see
from what i heard that a b20 can’t handle taht much high reving and has a tendacy for the sleeves to crack, even if they were resleeved but it also depends on tuning i guess
Just do some work on the block…and it just handle just as much boost as a b18 w/ the same tuning etc.
