I need to know what the hell HONSDATA 2B actually does. Do u just tell them what u have and they program it for you? I am debating between this and the AEM EMS system. I have a completely built B16 wutg a t3/t4 turbo. 370 cc injectors. What do i need to do get for the hondata? A new mapsensor that reads up to 30psi? i’m not sure of what to do for a fuel management system. i know everyone has debated this, but i have everything done and need to know exactly what to do so that i can order this soon. email me at jtsintegra@aol.com or just post on this. be as specific as u can as to what else i need to do. thanks a lot.
www.hondata.com…i have the 2b and its all you’ll need especially if you have turbo cause stages 3-4 have full throttle shifting and launch control you dont need that.
it depends on your set-up and if you want to improve it, if you are planning on changing your set-up often with dyno tuning then the AEM is better, but if you plan on not doing much more and wanna save some money get the hondata 2B
how does it work though? do i have to tell them exactly what setup i have , and they they just make it for that? or is there just one chip for every turbo car? also, do i need to get a new map sensor that reads boost? or does the stock one work? i need to know what u guys changed and what u kept the same. i have rc 370 cc injectors with a b16 fully built and a t3/t4 turbo. now i just need to know about this hondata stuff from u guys. i checked their website, but i want feedback from people that have it, and use it everyday. thanks guys
You send your ecu to them they mod it and give it back to you. Check there website or call them to see if your ecu is a moddable. You will need to get the GM 3bar map sensor mod (http://www.hondata.com/3barinstall.html). On our cars you will have to see if you can mod our map sensor or if you’ll need to get a newer style TB (ITR, civic SI) that has the map sensor on the TB instead of a vacuum line to the map sensor. Depending on what your fuel pump is your 370cc injectors may be sufficient. www.rceng.com has a online calculator for calculating your fuel needs and if there sufficient. If you get the hondata 2B you will want to be sure you can find a tuner in your area that does hondata, otherwise you might as well be the 4b with emulation.
no one around here does hondata that i know of, as far as tuning them and changing stuff. so does that mean i should prally just go with the aem ems system? if i get that, does that mean i should still get a new map sensor?..or can i just use check valves etc.
there is a groupbuy on the AEM ems right now on groupbuycenter.com $1275 shipped which is an excellent deal its a kick ass system you can download the demo program for it to get an idea at AEMs website
