Radiator problems

Im putting a turbo onto my 93 Acura Integra LS and i bought a half sized civic racing radiator hearing that would fit but it seems to be to tall to fit…

was I wrong in buying that radiator

what kind of radiator should i get that would fit and leave me the room to fit the turbo?

I was also thinking that maybe what I heard was for the 94+ Integras and not my generation… not sure if theres a difference

the half sized civic rads is what we use or most of us use. What have to cut the support just a little bit on the bottom and you will be fine. Zip tie that sucker and your good to roll

i got a half rad from autozone and it dropped right in. no problems hittin the hood or anything. no heating issues all year around either as long as u have fans.

the rad we got hits the bottom crossmember with the inlet. It looks like we will have to cut alot of the crossmember out to fit the rad so it will be short enough. Cutting that much just makes me nervous.

well it hits it with the outlet but yea thats the problem

you dont have to cut the crosmember to get it to fit, i have a thread doing this exact thing, im not sure if you got a single core or not but the bottoms ot the rad’s should be the same size, there is a peicve of sheet metal stuff in front of were the crosmember sits ( im not sure what its for) but youe hood latch suppotr conects to it, ther is about a 1/2in to 1in lip there if you bend it with a hammer it will fit, put the rubber peice back in the old hole for the stock rad, sit it on that, bend up the old top support to make it fit, and then put your fan and hoses on, the outlet hose will still sit on the crosmember a lil bit but i havent had any problems with it. if you feel the need to trim the crosmember then you would only have to trim a lil bit, but if you ask me its not a verry good idea. sorry about the long ass post, but that should help. also here is the URL for my post with picks, if that helps. http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159608 its the 18th post. PEACE, and good luck with the setup. JAKE

Thanks man. Thats really helpful.

no problem man.

here’s a good write up from full race

i did mine real similar to bmxbassgsr, but i cut that lower portion out and the repainted everything. also i have a think rad so i also cut out the top radiator support.

if ya have any questions hit me up. also i banged the front cross member in with a mini sledge for extra clearance. oh yea also i cut the framing out of hood for extra room there.

A 88-91 crx half radiator works good!
