I got this cause i’m goin ls turbo and the 2 1/2 inch piping is perfect. I just don’t know about the sound. Anybody running thsi exhaust???

So, Awhile ago i said and thought my exhaust was HKS…
Incorrect, It is not…
When i posted pictures the muffler was black… awhile ago i got in the cleaning mood and sprayed Castrol Super clean allover under the sedan to find it infact like this
Im being told by 1 friend its a midas replacement muffler… and 2 other people telling thats impossible, and at 1 point someone recognized the way it sounded and the rivvet looking things on the muffler and told me what it was… but i forgot now.
Any idea’s?.. All i know, the muffler part is stainless steel, the pipeing is 2.5" and the tips are HKS sports… And as for sound it has a low deep growl, sounds nicer then most i have heard… it sounded almost like that without the highflow cat but only when i floored it or was accelerating pretty fast :stare:

I got my HKS Sport like two days ago. My bro said that there was a heat shield plate that says HKS. So i’m guessing that, that tip is only the HKS Sport tip.
The HKS performs great and the sound, sounds like a touring car.
kool i was looking if anyone had one too.
Anyone know how much that HKS exhaust is?

FOR THE FINAL TIME, IT IS NOT AN HKS SPORT EXHAUST. BUT THOSE ARE THE TIPS FROM IT. the HKS Sport exhaust is ceramic coated so it is not shiney like stainless steel. and it goes from oem pipe diameter at the catalytic converter to 60mm at the muffler. it is not made anymore because it was made back in the 90’s. i’ll post pics of mine when i get a chance.
my apexi turbo N1 on my van sounds great… hahahaha w/o silencer sounds like a wrx with an aftermarket exhaust… it’s great…
I’m lovin every minute of my RS*R…:drool:…i dont regret buying it…or do i care how long i was waiting for it anymore…(lol, everyone here in the bay knoes how long i’ve waited for mine)

what your exhaust finally came in, only took 10 years 
B17A1, OBX 4-1 Header, Test Pipe, Short Ram intake with homemade icebox, 2.5 Custom piping all the way back with stock resonator (bottlenecks removed) and a Comptech Muffler and a TSX exhaust tip.

It’s not really done yet, gonna go with a carsond/magnaflow cat, but it isnt overly raspy, kinda throaty down low, and sounds awsome after vtec.

Hey, do u know anyhow, how much the HKS Sport was. Because it’s performance is awsome. and is the color on the muffler originally silver or u painted silver over the chrome. so i’m asking if is it chrome before or silver. beacause i would like the chrome look and mine is also silver.

its silver, mines is silver and it looks just like that except for a little surface rust on the welds from age and some scrapes on the resonator :bang:

and also its about aftermarket systems , not the stock , a pleaseeeeeeeee show exhaust system that we will love to have on any of our cars .

I love the exhaust i have on the car. It doesn’t sound ricey or like a lawn mower. It has a nice deep tone. It does have some vibration from a whole in the pipes and it’s also rattling against something else that i’ll fix after winter is through. I have a clip of it on this website
