full espelir jgt500 catback exhaust
Look: 9 - look nice and shiney …what you expect. Actually it sits perfect. And not tooo low.
Loudness:
-idle: 3 you can hear it rumblin
-3-4k: 4 More of a deeper tone like bass.
(how do i like it based on sound quality, a 9… i love deeper tone)
I have a '91 GS. I have an N-1 Dual cat-back on my car with 2, 4 inch pipes on each side of the bumper. I don’t know about you guys, but around here the cops only notice at night, late night. Because, that’s when the noise ordinacnes go into affect, I’m legal the rest of the time. The sound is loud, like you can hear me from a block. The sound is not too high, def. not bee sounding. It sounds a little higher than normal, but I like it, you sound tuned more. My car’s not a 5.slow, or any other american car, it shouldn’t sound like it. The only complaint I have with it, really hangs low.
I have 2 1/4 inch piping from the cat back, a flowmaster 40 series muffler, and a 4 inch tip, later this week i am going to be putting on a carsound high flow cat
basically the main differences were fit
the thermal unit fits perfectly under my car with no clearance issues with either part of the car or with the short shifter, and the hangers were stock/factory like fit.
the obx ebay unit would rattle on the short shifter sometimes and sit crooked when u looked from the back bumper. also there were issues with the hangers because some of them were way too long and bent not totally the right ways. the ebay exhaust would also hang pretty low because it is fatter than the thermal canister axel back.
both exhausts sound pretty nice, but the thermal just sounds so sweet. very deep but low/not loud tone. it is subtle but has a nice throaty sound when u stomp it at WOT. the thermal is just a more refined exhaust system.
the ebay exhaust is good if you need something for cheap. but if you have the money then i would definitely recommend the thermal.
let me know if anyone has questions about either exhausts or if you guys want more pics. i’ll do anything i can to help out a fellow g2 owner in making a good purchase decision.

greddy SP2 full stainless cat-back
Sounds great! love everything about it, its got a lower growl than most other exhausts i’ve herd on our g2’s. Not too loud, but when you get on it, you will be herd. Smooth sounding and much better sound than my friends Greddy evo on his 02 Ex Civic.
loudness - 6
sound qualitiy - 8

B18A mods: HP Racing header, Mozart axel-back, SAFC II
i love the sound of the exhaust since its not loud but not quiet, it sounds like the blue integra a few pages back only conplaint about it isnt the exhaust fault but just time, i bought car with mods and the piping is rusted all to hell so i want a new cat-back but the muffler is angeled and i want one that is also angeled and the muffler is behind the bumper unlike the JGT500 system that was in some of the pictures how it came past the muffler, ill have to post a pic of it to show how i want it mounted.

I was just wondering what would you guys reccomend for an exhaust. I am looking to get a cat-back that is quiet but has a little more rumble then stock. i dont want no exhaust that you can hear from 4 blocks away. Also Id like it to be as cheap as possible. Are any of those e-bay ones anygood like the Tsudo? Thanks!
BTW I have read the postings and with all the different ratings Its to hard to tell whats the best sounding/quiet exhaust.
yea, the only exhausts i have found for our cars is the RS*R’s, Tsudo, ssautochrome, and greddy, can someone show me some different exhausts in the price range of 2-400. sorry but im just lost.
There aren’t many choices out there for our DAs
$200-$400 is a good budget for a custom setup, though. That’s what I’m doing now, since nobody makes a 2.5" catback for our cars.
I had the greddy MX and the RSR ex-mag. Both were good exhausts. The problem with all the catbacks (other than the RSR GT2) is that they are chambered mufflers, which is because our exhaust exits on the other side. Chambered mufflers are very restrictive compared to straight-through design or a “twin-loop” design.
