RAXLES! Axles that don't shake, click, leak, etc... amazing!

91Akira, it is easy, but I would recommend having a buddy show you first. Balljoints are easy to mess up and the first time I did, I tore up my ball joint :frowning: It was just really stuck on there.

I can’t do it because I don’t have the time with a little one at home – and it’s also really cold outside. If I was still in Florida it would be something I’d be willing to handle. But since my car is at the shop anyway, they’re throwing it on there.

Colin, I’m going to email him and ask him to do something like that next time. Thanks for the tip.

congrats on your little one. My one year old is almost walking. After my kids were born, I started losing interest in working on the teg. I’ll get back at it one day. But anyhow, thanks Neil and Colin for the input.

Marty seemed to have ignored my email, Colin, because he replied to my message when I said the axle was sent. Perhaps he just did something special for you.

All this activity in this thread, I suppose I should throw in my $.02 here. Ive Had mine for 2 years and there holding up solid so far, next test is too see how they hold up with boost and road coursing the car…

I am debating weather I should get Raxles. How long do Raxles typically last for a stock B20, A1 trans set up on DA? I am considering buying DC Axles form OEM Acura Parts. Driver side is $318.46. I know I would have to change intermediate shaft also. I wonder how long the OEM Driveshafts would hold up? Anyone?

raxles are lifetime warranty. go with raxles but until you start upgrading your motor or lower the car ridiculously i wouldnt worry about breaking axles.

Raxles for sure. I ran mine for years pretty slammed for some of that time and all that happened was the boots wore out. I’m now using them on my track car, two seasons and no problems. I don’t see myself ever using any other axles.

@ Colin: How long would you say that Raxles’ driveshafts run before its time to exchange? I have seen others’ post which says a little over 5 years. Is this true?

I will do this myself when I get a chance. Marty will send one and I’ll get it next Tuesday. No core is $219. It went up 40 bucks.

The Passenger “Suspension Plus” axle is giving up. Surprised of how long it lasted with my car being lowered. 2007. The drivers side is from Raxles and was done by a backyard mechanic and is still good. I’m going to tackle the passenger side soon.

Raxles are legit. I remember when I bought mine he mentioned about the price hike in the future. I had mine shipping to Cali like you. The shipping cost $40 each I think. I do not remember but yes, it adds up. However, the price is truly worth it. You save time and headaches…That reminds me I never sent in my axles to Marty. You send him a picture of the axles you have and if he approves them. You send them in to get $40 dollars back on each one. Not sure if the price has changed on that as well. All you send back is the inboard or outboard of axle. Which from Cali will cost you $20. I am not sure if its worth the trouble of shipping. Let me know the details…

Beto-

How much is shipping for one axle? Did you say $20? Just curious because one day I’ll be shipping bad axles to him. I’m changing the passenger side which is NOT his and not sending to him. I’ll be getting the raxle next week.

Ohh to answer your question that you asked “Colin”.
There is a member on here who said his is 8 years and going. And does autocross. Lowered too.

The long awaited DIY project finally completed myself. I’m so proud of this accomplishment. Thanks to “Fastintegra” JP customs on you tube. Also I gotto give it to the rental tools from Autozone. Much needed in this maintanence.

I test drove on the freeway and that small vibration was eliminated!!

Just ordered some this morning. Change my auto zone axles on saturday and they broke when I turned out of autozone’s parking lot . I do road race so I hope the Raxles hold up. If they break I am gonna pay the big buck for Gator axles.

I’ve been tracking with my Raxles for a couple years now, maybe 20 events and they are holding up just fine. Depending on what you do you might want to talk to Marty about getting stronger ones, I’m pretty sure he can make axles which are stronger than OEM - sorta the same way Driveshaft Shop has different “stages”.

I have two friends who just orderd DSS axles actually, one for his EG and one for his DA. The guy w/ the EG bought 'em because they were going to be cheaper than Raxles. He hasn’t assembled the car yet so I’ve yet to get a review on how they are. The guy w/ the DA installed his and he now has a vibration, and we’re thinking it’s the axles but have yet to confirm this. Even if it is the axles, as long as they give him free replacements then I won’t hold it against them, it’s just something that happens with axles. Happened to me once w/ my replacement Raxles and Marty promptly shipped me a replacement set.

I also ordered an axle from Marty for my Subaru, great price. Unfortunately I was sent the wrong one - this wasn’t Marty’s fault though, apparently my car is some sort of mid year car. It’s an '04 but has the axles from an '05. Although dealing with the extra time and shipping has been a pain, Marty has been great in regard to helping determine what axle I really need. This same problem would have come up from any supplier except the dealer (assuming they checked my VIN) so I figure I can’t hold it against Raxles, and now that we’ve sorted it out Marty knows to double check w/ '04-'05 Impreza owners before sending them an axle.

I ended up buying some drive shaft shop level 0 axles. They seem ok for now but i will be purchasing some raxles soon.

I looked into it also. I don’t remember if Driveshaft offers lifetime replacements. I went with Raxles because everyone on here recommended to do so. There axles have a reputation for lasting a very long time. That was my main reason for choosing Raxles. I just could not find an axle that would do the job. I discovered that many people had the same issue with DAs. That’s why I decide to write about my experience or problem that I had. People still continue to view and add comments to this thread. I hope I helped in some form or other.
