rear sway bar?

I hear that the ST 19mm rear sway bar mounts in the stock position. So there is no need for a subframe brace. Does any body know if this is true? Does any body have any experience with the ST rear sway bar?

Your right, st bar bolts up to stock location and a rear subframe brace is not needed unless your upgrading to a sway bar that does not mount to the stock location. Even if it was mounted to the subframe I don’t believe that a 19mm bar is large enough that you would HAVE to get a brace.

had the ST bar before switch to ASR,it mounts to stock location. its much better than the stock sway bar IMO

Why did you switch to the ASR? How did the car handle with the ST bar? I looked into the ASR but I did not like the idea of drilling holes in my car to mount the subframe brace. Thats why I’m intrested in the ST bar? I want better handling with out cutting up my car.

the ASR bar allows the use of newer style sway bars (and MUCH larger bars) that have less bends in them. the less bends make for a much more consistent flex of the bar, resulting in less twitchy ass-ends.

Hellooooo… OMG Its Weasel,

Where do you get these tales from, you wrote: " ASR bar allows the use of newer style sway bars". Too begin with shouldn’t this read “anti-sway bars” What is a newer style sway bar anyway? Never seen one, do you have pictures or could you describe one?

You wrote: “that have less bends in them. the less bends make for a much more consistent flex of the bar” Can you demonstrate how this is physically possible? I can only guess this is why most springs, like coil springs are made up of bent material? Yes an anti-sway bar is a spring. Why would most classic open wheel cars utilize bent anti-sway bars, are they seeking inconsistency?

Please Stop!

Yes the Suspension Techniques anti-sway bar mounts in the stock location with minimal replacement of stock parts. The stock bushings, D-brackets and end links are replaced with new ST parts included with the bar when purchased new, further the installation is very straight forward and can be accomplished in under an hour with simple hand tools.

Plenty of experience with most of the anti-sway bar available for our cars and the rear ST anti-sway bar is the most effective, least expensive, easiest to install, most available off the shelf, to be used with stock or lightly modified suspension anti-sway bar available for our cars. I highly recommend it however avoid the front bar unless you are seeking a car with distinct under steering tendencies.

the fucking thread was started using the term “sway bar”. using terms that people can relate with helps to alleviate confusion. people skills, get some.
“newer style” as in like the ITR bars and most every aftermarket bar for the DC chassis, sorry im not being technically specific, but any moron can decipher what i was saying, especially when im addressing the original poster who was using that same lingo. i guess youre not one of those morons though. also, i didnt mean a straight bar, just one that not shaped like this:

less crazy bends = simplicity. isnt that why the ITR bar looks like this:

i mean, if it wasnt true, why would honda change the design for their heralded cream of the crop integra type-r?
i love how every time im not dead on specific in what i say you try and tear my shit apart like youre some gift to automotive knowledge. just goes to show how much of an asshole you really are.
get off my nuts you annoying troll.

So let me get this straight, using slang avoids confusion?

“Newer style” means not being technically specific to avoid confusion and does not actually exist.

Bends are now crazy and so are inconsistent springs that are round or bent.

The design of the DA/DB rear suframe and unibody are the same as a DC?

Because Acura changed the design on an ITR anti-sway bar to fit packaging needs makes it the only way, best way to build an anti-sawy bar efficiently and effectively.

Simplicity is the same as consistency?

How can you expect to continue to post falsity and fallacy and not presume to be corrected?

damn this shit is getting like h-t
people arguing about how they talk …i mean come on everyone that reads this knows what weasel meant by newer style …as in 94 and up …not too hard to figure out

all you ever do on this site is pick apart what people say …you are reading and complaining about some crap that doesnt even matter to you and trying to correct people like your a freaking car god or something
come on dude you picked apart my build because i didnt update some of the changes so when i got dynoed and posted the results you compared the original list and quizzed me on my build like i was lying about what i have done to my motor:gtfo:

Look dip sh_t no one is talking here, we are writing!

People read our writing as documentation about how to build and work on our cars.

Don’t post trash in an auto specific forum, your engine documentation was incorrect and misleading I attempted to corroborate it.

You want to babble and post chit chat take it to Facebook.

Now get off my lawn !!!

grow the F@#k up you homo i am done wasting my time TYPING …NOT WRITING …i am not using a pen so whos the dipsh#t now …

Well I will throw some input on this since i have the ST Rear anti-sway bar yes it bolt right up to the stock location. I bought mine from member on here and i would have to say that it’s one of the buys i have made this year it really makes a difference there is next to nothing of body roll. it’s a must buy in my book.

hey guys thanks for all the info! I bought the ASR subframe brace and didn’t know you had to drill holes in the car to mount it. Thats why I was wondering about the ST bar. I will be ordering one as sone as my pay check comes. Does anybody wanna a buy an ASR subframe brace and ASR 24mm anti-sway bar?

why would you not want to drill the holes? it’s very easy and wont affect the chassis in any way.

holy fuck ballz, you dont even need a rear sway bar! it pointless unless you are going to drive youre car where there is turns!

quit trolling this man, omg its weasel is really knowledgeable when it comes to jdm ish and overall hondas in general. pretty much a honda master-mechanic.

pic related, troll

+1. i never drive where there’s turns. only straight ahead for me

The drilling is easy, i just installed mine a couple weeks ago. It’s easy and not in a spot you have to worry about hitting anything. Definitely worth it, and made a significant difference in corners
