Rebuild

I’m looking to rebuild my b18a1 motor and maybe turbo it and want to know
what’s the max psi i should run, what horse power would i get with this setup, and any changes or input you guys would like to offer.

This is the setup

-Stock block (rebored, honed, and magnaflushed) by machine shop
-Stock oversized pistons and rods (will be a 1.9 L motor after machine work)
-Stock crank (reground, polished) by machine shop
-New main and rod bearings
-New waterpump and oil pump
-Stock head (new stock valves, guides, and stems installed) by machine shop
-Stock cams
-New crane cam titanium springs and retainers
-Sleeve guard (another option i want an opinion on if i should get this or not)
-Port and polish (was thinking about doing this but not sure)
-Arp head bolts
-Stock manifold
-BBK 70mm throttle body
-bigger injectors (want opinion on what size i should use)
-Msd fuel pump 42 gph
-Apexi fuel management with stock computer no A/C
-Moroso breather system
-2.5’’ exhaust
-Ebay turbo kit

scrap the ebay turbo kit and buy a real kit, you’ll ruin all the work you did to your block

I would also scrap the Apexi and get a chip ecu, that is if its a AFC your talking about.:hmm:

Since you’ve already decided what to do with your block, Why would you buy a E-Bay turbo kit. Although the price is always cheaper, it would ruin the good setup you have for your block.

Build your own kit…

450cc dsm injectors are some great injectors up to 12 psi.
a t3/t4 turbo
Get chipped by xenocron instead of the afc crap
port and polish would be great
dont need a sleeve unless u plan to push over 700
dont think u need the titanium springs and retainers with stock cams

just my .02

I already have the crane cam set. I want to buy a cam in the future but cant afford it with the work im doing right now. Its a good thing a work at an auto parts store i get employee discount. Would it be bad to run the apexi for a while with low boost, i already have the unit. I want to buy a hondata but i cant find one cheap.

just sell the apexi unit and buy a hondata, its not too much more, you can do it, just save a little. the damage you can do with a piggy back like that is not something to take lightly
