rebuilding B17 for boost help & opinions

ok i just purchashed another 92 GSR so my other project of a superchared gsr has been put on hold cause putting a jackson on a Da is work i dont want 2 do. i like the power of the B17 but i want a liitle more power and i was going 2 go 4 just go with a mild all-motor rebuild cause this is my dd, but my boy talked me into going turbo cause what i can pay 4 cams, headers, intake, etc i might as well piece together a turbo kit. I am keeping the gsr as oem as possible cause these cars are so rare i am trying 2 keep most things honda

i want to know if this a good setup for turbo i am only running 5 psi with a max of 10(only at the track) this is my DD
i am looking 4 a small turbo that spools quick and will be at full boost at around 5k i am only looking for about 220 hp

yea I think those are some pretty good goals and can easlily be obtained w/ a good tune and t3 turbo… you could probably make 220 hp w/ a t3 .48/.42, im running a t3 .60/.63 and should be running 280 hp on my ls w/ pistons, rods

Sounds like a nice and easy goal.

For a turbo that spools like that, a T3 is great for that, as long as it’s the right size of course. A T3/T04E from Garrett would work great. It would yield you around or close to 300 at 10lbs or so. It’s a .48 on the exhaust and a .60 in the intake.

Have fun with the build man.

ive got a turbonetics turbo in great condition for sale to4e .48 intake .63 exhaust its a t3/t4 let me know if your inerested… i have a complete drag kit…email me if interested chris23492@comcast.net
